The doorknob is cold, filling Yunho's entire body with venomous-like ice, his eyes blinking rapidly in order to focus back on opening the door. He rapidly punches the code in before the next part of the door slides open, and Yunho is met with the contents of the room ahead of him. There are carvings on the wall and Yunho takes a second to read them, trying to calm his heartbeat and breathing before looking for his patient.
The blood that flows out of your body tastes like the sweetest rain water.
Yunho is too much in shock to notice that he read the last carving out loud, alerting his patient who was previously only looking at the doctor, lying on the bed adjacent to him. Yunho then notices the eyes tracing him, and he quietly pulls the chair from the corner closer to himself and seats himself. He allows himself to analyze the patient in front of him. Song Mingi, dangerous, but other than the murder of the previous doctor, Yunho has no idea what he has done to be here. Mingi has obsidian black hair styled quite nicely considering his living conditions. He is large and a looming figure, and Yunho, despite being similar in height, can't help but feel intimidated by him. His eyes follow Yunho's every movement, but they are extremely soft and kind looking. Looks of such a kind are something Yunho had to train himself to stop trusting, but Mingi's face draws him in, almost like a spell.
"You look a little too innocent to be working here...doctor." The deepest voice wakes Yunho from a trance of reading the depressing comments on the wall, and they makes intense eye contact.
"Who allowed you to defile the walls like this, you shouldn't have the tools..."
"I suggest you shut up now doctor." Suddenly he coughs and continues the fit of coughing for a minute before looking back at Yunho. "No one has come in here for a week, I think." The comment is rather simply stated, but Yunho can sense the real sadness that the comment possesses.
"Have they been feeding you?"
"Yesterday they threw some bread in here, so technically, but no, not really." He rises from the bed and Yunho stares at him again. He notices Mingi's pants are too short for his legs his shirt oversized for his extremely skinny body. His chains do little to restrict movement of any kind meaning Mingi could beat Yunho up easily with the amount of freedom of motion he has, but something in Yunho draws him in to trust him, and suddenly without warning, Yunho's hand reaches out to touch his patient's shoulder. Yunho holds his hand there and stands to meet him face to face.
They are so close that their noses could touch with a simple movement forward, and they let themselves linger there for a long time.
"Fucking pretty boy." Mingi heads back to his bed after the comment and motions for Yunho to sit back in his chair, taking charge of the situation and most obviously taking advantage of the bewildered doctor in front of him.
"Excuse you?" Yunho says with a delay to Mingi's comment.
"Good morning, glad you decided to join the party. I called you a fucking bitch, now what can I do for you?" Mingi flashes a charming smile, and taps his fingers lightly on the bedside table next to his pillow.
"Due to the dismissal of the previous doctor I need some infor-"
"You mean the one I killed."
"Well, yes, but that's beside the point, I just need to recover the information that he collected, and re-questioning you and his other patients is the best way to do it." Yunho attempts to collect himself, but is unable to stop staring at his patient. A large part of Yunho wants to hold the other's face in his hands and have a closer look at his features again and he is unable to understand his feelings or control himself properly.
"Shoot." Yunho then wakes up to start gathering information on the infamous Song Mingi.
"You know your name?"
"Song Mingi, 20 years old, hot as fuck, anything else you need doc?" Yunho only gulps and tries to bring himself back from his nervous state.
"You need to tell me, to the best of your ability the list of you crimes. Preferably in order."
"In order, now how am I supposed to do that? Fuck that, I'll just tell you what I can think of on the top of my head."
"Fine."
"So I killed this girl, I think she was five, was my first murder. Thrilling really, especially since she put up a big fight, it took everything in me to finish her off."
"How old were you then?"
"14, about to turn 15."
"That was fast, you have a good memory."
"It was an eventful day before my birthday doc."
"Anything else?"
"It might be faster doc if you just hand me the clipboard, and your nice pointy pen too." Yunho's pupils dilate at his words, and Mingi only bursts into a fit of laughter followed by sharp coughs that are obviously causing large amounts of pain.
"Are you alright Mingi?"
"Physically, or mentally? There's a difference you know doc."
"Physically." Yunho taps his pen anxiously on his clipboard.
"The last doc broke my ribs I think when I was stabbing him, talk about putting up a fight."
"No one treated you for it?"
"You act like you don't care I murdered a man."
"What if I told you it was my job to care about you, not your victims?" Yunho finally gets Mingi to be at a loss for words, his eyes drifting directly to his feet. "Glad to see I'm in charge. That's enough of questions today Mingi, I think you've had enough painful memories brought up. So far Mingi, you seem perfectly sane to me." Yunho makes an exit then, and locks the door quickly, walking down the dark hallway back to the main lobby, breathing heavily.
"You made it, good job!" An excited Wooyoung drapes his arms over Yunho's shoulder, and smiles ear to ear at Yunho. Yunho only nods, feeling too nauseous from the day's events to respond
