You gasped in surprise, your body reacting by pulling closer to him.

The second your mouth opened against his, all the lights and fans that let you see his power source turned on. You couldn't trade back what he'd given to you, but you could supply him with something from your own energy source. You Breathed into the kiss, and Loki had similar ideas as he did the same. This time, the transference felt different. Something not within you, but without.

You closed your eyes against the light that lit up in your face, and Loki closed his. For just a moment, you let yourself forget that you were in the middle of a foolhardy endeavor to save the world, and you kissed Loki. For no particular reason other than he seemed to be very skilled in the art. And, of course, the minor detail that you may or may not have accidentally grown fond of the psychopath.

He pulled back, looking you over expectantly. "That was pleasant," he remarked quietly, feeling stronger than before. "Now, remember that we don't have many options--"

He deftly closed a hand over your mouth as he felt the overwhelming urge to scream build up in your chest. "I know you detest this form of silencing but please, it's imperative that you remain calm."

Your stared in horror at the blue color of your skin. Looking up, your eyes looked upon a face that only resembled Loki's in shape. His skin was Jotun blue, like yours, and his eyes were a frightening red. You suspected yours had taken on a similar hue. You took a deep breath, and Loki removed his hand before you could bite it.

"What the hell did you--"

"It's not permanent," he said quickly. "Merely an illusion." Yours was, at any rate. Loki felt an overpowering sense of exposure in his natural Jotun form. The way you looked at him was. . . not a comfort.

"What is the point of this exactly?" You hissed. "And how did you get an illusion to work?"

"Well, I noticed that I kept the form I've worn almost since birth, which has always been an illusion, even if I didn't know it. I thought that if it was withstanding whatever force is mitigating my magic, I might be able to pass it to you. So I did, just in reverse."

You paused, taking a more careful look at Loki, completely without armor. The delicate curve of his cheekbones and the sharp jawline looked no less captivating with the true blue of his skin. The strange markings that Jotuns had across their skin marked his forehead. His jet back hair complemented the overall effect, and made him the singularly most attractive frost giant you had seen so far. Although, the bar wasn't all that high. His red eyes flicked away from yours self-consciously.

"Not bad," you murmured, almost to yourself, wondering if you looked good as a frost giant. "I assume you have a plan that goes along with this look?"

"As a matter of fact, I do. It's a bit of a long shot. But it could work."

He told you of his last-ditch idea, and you looked upon him doubtfully. "How would we go unnoticed long enough for that to work? Our clothes would sort of give us away, wouldn't they?"

Loki looked you over. "Your cloak is Jotun. I could wrap it around you to conceal your other clothes. As for me. . ."

He reached under his clothing and pulled out the typical warrior male outfit the Jotuns seemed to favor: a simple loincloth and a sash for knives. "Did you steal that at Valgard's?" you inquired softly. "And wrapped it around your stomach to smuggle it out?"

"I thought eventually a disguise might be necessary. I didn't think to use it like this, mind you."

"Why did you feel the need to steal it, instead of simply asking for it? Never mind. Don't tell me. There's really no other course of action here. Go quickly and put that on. I'm feeling the urge to just get this over with."
