In Another Life

As these two girls grew up being the bestest of friends. They knew everything about each other, and nothing would ever part them. The older they got, life got complicated. They were more different than they ever could be, but they still connected at heart. It came to a time in their life where they couldnt work around their issues. They both lacked change. A friendship that was once so pure has finally crashed. They still cared about each other, but they new this is what was best for them. They devoloped new friends, and learned to get through harsh times without each others. They found love in many different things, and made many more memories. They grew up to be who they were desired to be. As one started a family and new career, as the other continue her passion in art and was offered to travel the world. Before she could go, she had to leave a card behind for a dear old friend. She stayed up all night thinking of the right thing to say. She eventually fell asleep with no idea what to say. She woke up in a rush to pack for her big trip. She was excited to see all these new things in the world. She ran back into her house for her last bag. As she was saying goodbye to her home, she saw the card that laid on the desk. She frowned still having no idea what to write. She picked it up, and opened it. It still needed a recorded message. All she could think about was how only if things could be different they could still be friends, but that was in another lifetime. Thats when it clicked. She ran back out the car and left her house, where ahe knew her real home was the adventure she was about to travel. She had to stop by some where to drop off a letter before she went, and that would be the last time she ever see that letter. Then she was off.

It wasnt long before that old friend came home. She walked inside greeted by her husband, and told her there was a letter for her. As she walked inside to see who it was from, but refused to open something that she left in the pass. she casually tossed it away somewhere and went and enjoyed her time with her two kids and her lovely husband.

Years and years later they aged. Thats when the old friend got a phone. She was at home alone. Her kids with there own family, and her husband passed away. She answered the phone to a devastating message. Someone she once called her bestfriend/family took her last adventure this morning. She hung up in shock of what she just heard. She hasnt seen her since they were kids. She slowly got up and grabbed an old photo album. She wiped the dust away and open the book to be flooded with memories. She smiled with tears filling her eyes. As flippingthrough the books some tears slipped out, and something fell out. She looked down to see a letter. She picked it like it was extremely fragile. She opened, and smiled as she heard her voice again.

At the funeral the old friend cried, and cried. She missed her dear friend. She new that it's been a long time but she always thought that they would be together again. She walked up to the casket like everyone else to to put roses down, but instead of a rose, it was a card. As the people watched the casket be lowered the wind blew just so light but strong enough for the card to open. As you heard were these words. "Its so sad that I didnt get to say goodbye, but I know we will be friends again in another life. I love you" The old friend let a tear escape, as the heard her friends voice one last time. She smiled and nodded her head as she whispered under her breathe " I love you too, and I cant wait to see you again."
