Trigger Warning!!!- Self-harm and Suicidal mentions/Attempt.
Please do not read and then comment about being triggered!! if you are triggered do not continue reading.

she hadn't intended to be found out. she didn't intend to let anyone know. she was already enough of a bother. she didn't want to cause more problems than she already did.

but of course, the world hated her. Etzumi Konishi, the girl who lost everything over the last year. Her parents died, her sister was comatose. The only thing that helped her cling to her fragile will to live was her still healthy siblings but Riko is doing just fine, she's getting on with life, she is not letting life get in her way so Kiko would clearly benefit more from being in Riko's presence rather than her own. this means she has nothing left. nothing left to love, to care for. she has no reason to live.

That's when the cutting started, 2 months before her new life at UA, when it was clear that Riko was happy, Riko was not letting anything stop her. The World was not going to be an obstacle she let herself get dragged down by. Etzumi saw how pointless her life was, yeah Kiko was under her care but due to how bad the world was beating her, the rest of her dorm looked after her little sister when she moved in.

Her overthinking , negative thoughts and suicidal tendencies popped up when she realized that due to her ineptness at caring for her own sister caused problems for the dorm. did anyone say anything to prove this? no . they didn't need to ,Etzumi's mind did a good enough job of that.

4 months after she started cutting was her first attempt. it was midday , she told her classmates to let Aizawa know that she was too ill to attend class, that is where everyone was now - in class , training to become pros, something Etzumi always dreamed of becoming but her hope drained from that dream quickly after the loss of her parents. Kiko was in school too and it was Riko's day to pick her up. The idea of attempting had always plagued her mind since her mental state took the hit them months ago but over the weekend there was some news of her sister Asuka came, and it wasn't good. her condition worsened leaving her with a very very slim chance of surviving and an even lower chance of waking up.

That was the final straw, the straw that broke the camels back. it tipped her over the edge and had her staring at a pill bottle in her pale hands in the darkness of her room, her curtains closed and light off. she sighed and unscrewed the lid, reading over her last note again to ensure she didn't miss anything out.

Then she emptied the bottle into her palm counting the small capsules. 28. should definitely be enough to take her away from here, to free her from her hell. to rid her classmates of her burden, to give her sisters a better life.

She allowed her free hand to trace her scarred wrist and arm, a smile on her lips. finally, she can be free.

with a final breath she raised her shaking hand to down the pills but -

"Hey, Zumi. Aizawa sent me to - ZUMI WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"

of course, the world won't let her escape as a green-haired boy came through her door, eyes going wide at the sight when the light from the hall hit her. her grey eyes red and cheeks streaked from crying, the bare arms full of cuts new and old that he had never seen before and on the floor and empty pill bottle.

"Etzumi" He rushed to her side. "How many did you take" He was calm, calmer then she expected him to be. calmer then he should have been after walking in on a friend attempting to end it all. she dropped the pills in her hand on the floor and sunk into Izuku's arms as he crouched before her. "did you take any" he asked again and was met with a shake of her head. No.

he felt a breath leave him as he realized how crucial a time he arrived at. if it was just moments later she would have been in trouble. "stay there Zumi, I'm just gonna close the door okay" Izuku realized that this is clearly a state she wanted no one to see her in and knew that class would end for an hour of so soon.

he came back to her side taking a seat on her bed, she had not moved, her head hung low and she stared at the pills, she has mixed feels about being stopped. on one hand, she is relieved, someone cares, she isn't a burden, she is needed. Miydoria is her friend. On the other hand shes pissed. her chance and she missed it, she was so close to her escape!

Izuku dare not to leave her alone so he called up All Might to ask him to tell his teacher that He won't be in classes for the rest of the day due to Etzumi being more feverish then she first seemed so he was going to make sure she got no worse and that he would catch up on his studies early the next morning.

When he finally talked his friend into resting for a while he cleaned up the pills off the floor and the bottle, putting them into his backpack that he ditched by the door when he first came in and left her room silently to go grab some water for himself and one for Etzumi when she awoke. He spent the rest of the time until dinner that night in her room, sat at her desk doing his homework while she slept and was talking to her about the events of the day when she awoke until they were both called down for dinner at 6 pm.

during their conversations, one thing stood out to Etzumi which actually filled her with hope for once. something Miydoria said a few times throughout their chats that proved her cared and that he was there for his friend no matter what.

"How Long Have You Been Hiding this?! why didn't you come to me..... I would've helped, there is nothing to do about that now though. remember that for future reference, if there is ever a time you feel alone. I am here"

initial plan

- Deku to Zumi when he discovers her self harm.
- Zumi has struggled with depression and self-harm since her parents were killed and with her sisters worsening condition, she broke - while Kiko was playing with the others in her class she tried to overdose - Deku walked in just as she struggled to open the pill bottle stopping her from taking her own life.
