Trigger warning!!: Home Invasion, Severe Injury, Death.

The siblings under the name Konishi have had it tough, their mother fell ill when the eldest was 13, the others being 11, 9 and 3. it was hard for the younger ones to understand why mummy wasn't home, why mummy was at the hospital all time but the eldest understood too well, having it been explained to her by her father.

luckily a year later Irika Konishi pulled through and became free of disease, coming home just in time for Christmas, her surprise to her beautiful children, who though visited her almost daily, she missed dearly.

The next year was finally their year, Their father Hyrakio was promoted to head of his team on disaster response team of their home town, he even got a reward for saving 10 lives from a disastrous flood that effected north of where they lived.

But just two weeks following Kiyoko's (the youngest siblings) 5th birthday her quirk manifested, it turned her body translucent which not only scared the small child but resulted in her being hit and run over by a car because of the angle of light which made her seem invisible. Thankfully she made a full recovery in 2 months.

What I'm getting at is that this family is no stranger to trouble and disaster and that became apparent as just before the eldest turned 16 their home was attacked, and this time their luck of recovery had run dry.

it was past midnight, the only one awake was then 15-year old Etzumi Konishi, Zumi for short, she was studying for the entrance exams to her Local hero training school which were just under a week away, she was certain she was going to pass, she had high hopes.

that was until there was a loud bang sounding noise that left her ears ringing, heart racing and senses alert. Her first reaction was to find her siblings but the world was spinning from the loud ringing that filled her head so as she struggled to stand she stumbling, falling on the floor.

that's when she heard it, voices, voices she didn't recognize but also a voice she did. "Who Are you" the voice yelled "You have no right to be here" it continued but all that followed was a bloodcurdling scream. Etzumi clasped a hand over her mouth as she sobbed and screamed as she realized what just happened.

forcing her self off the floor she used the speed of her quirk to find her way to her littlest sister's room being careful not to be spotted by whoever was intruding in their home. there she found the small girl's bed empty and her heart dropped mind thinking the worse. "Kiko?" she called out in a hushed voice, in response and small almost see-through girl floated from under the bed.

"ZuZu... I'm scared... " The elder girl hushed the 6-year old holding her tight. "Listen up Kiko i have a job for you" the small girl gave a confident nod to her oldest sister wiping her wet cheeks. "Can you use your quirk to get to Riko's room and wait there for me?" The small girl nodded again before setting up her task.

Etzumi continued her way through the upper floor of their family home to her other sister, Asuka's room, being careful to keep her mind as clear as possible to make sure her uncontrollable attributes don't let her be known to the villains. When she got to the room the door was ajar and the light was on. "You little pest, shut up before we make you"The vice sounded mechanical but sobbing was clearly what he was referring to "Oi what did we just say" another less mechanical voice echoed.

2 people, if it was any other situation Etzumi was sure Suki could hold her own but she's overpowered in a 2 v 1 and has very little control of the quirk. Think Zumi, Think!. Got it!!

She set about her plan, she peered around her door, making sure to check down the stairs with a glance as Asuka's room was at the top of them, both intruders were facing away, towards where Asuka cowered in her bed directly opposite the door. She went about getting Suki's attention to which she succeeded she just hoped her sister won't make her presence obvious.

Etzumi then makes sleeping symbols with her hands, her message being received by the sister. she took a deep breath as he raised her hand and shot out a grey orb that encircled one of the villains, but at the same time seeing her act a gun went off.

once, hitting her in the abdomen

twice, hitting her in the chest, very close to her heart

Etzumi reacted quickly, a little too slow for her liking as her sister was now injured, taking down the culprit by focusing on his Gun, having it implode. once done, Etzumi let down her walls, she fell to the ground in a scream causing anything she stared at for long enough to implode.

It wasn't long before authorities arrive, finding all 4 girls together, 3 huddled over an unconscious girl, an older girl pressing and holding desperately on her chest and one a little younger doing the same to her abdomen, a small girl sat between them crying.

They recovered the bodies of 3 dead villains, 2 downstairs and one in the room with the girls and one unconscious. Along with the violently still, violently injured bodies of the girl's parents. The girls were rushed to the hospital to be checked over and Asuka was rushed into surgery.

It wasn't until 2 weeks later when they got the news that Asuka was comatose, she was on life support if she had been without oxygen for a few more minutes she wouldn't have made it at all.

Their bad luck continued from there when Etzumi was turned down from the hero training school due to her quirk's unpredictability but luck had struck when principle Nezu reached out to the school asking for the girls to be transferred there, not that they know that - they just think the principle directed them there for UA being for equipped to help her control her quirk. The news that Kiko could live in the dorms added to the news greatly.

You see these last 3 years have weighed Heavily on Etzumi especially as she is the oldest, she feels responsible for her sister's injury and parent's death even though it couldn't be stopped. But if it wasn't for her past, she wouldn't be who she is today - granted bad luck still hits them heavy when Zumi thinks back on the events and overthinks it, blaming herself more and more spiraling into depression...

because for this family Sometimes memories are the worst form of torture.
