Trigger Warning: hints of self-harm

A few months have passed, it is now December and Etzumi has been struggling to keep up with work, she has been chatting with the teachers frequently at first but slowly whittling it down to about 3 times a week but it wasn't helping as quick as she needed and it was often stressing her out to the point where she couldn't face the day, with the at few months she had missed tremendous amounts of work and Nezu was starting to pick up on it.

It was the end of a long cold December day, the last day of term before Christmas, it was always a hard time for her, being without her parents and without Asuka made it an incredibly deteriorating time for her mental health, she started to miss her sessions and classes again, for a second time since the beginning of term she was shutting down.

That's when Nezu devised a plan to help the child in need, she was to have a break from school, finish now to live with an aunt on Karayatoshu Island while Etzumi recovers from her mental battles. Nezu and Aizawa know it will be hard for her to go alone so Hyriko and Kiyoko will go with her, Hyriko will be given the work she missed via email to ensure she stays up to date with classes.

The bell chimed signaling the final hour of the final day had finished and the chatter picked up as students left the classrooms to pack for Christmas break, to go home and see their families, Aizawa was hoping Konishi would be in class so he could ask her to stay behind so he could talk to her about the move.

He made his way over to the dorms and found Kiko in the living area watching cartoons. "Kiko, wheres Zuzu?" He asked and she smiled pointing to the kitchen area "Making me my dinner, I'm hungry" she smiled, letting out a laugh, which caused her to fall through the sofa slightly with her quirk.

"Konishi, I need a word" Etzumi instantly and instinctively pulled her sleeves down, with no one around she didn't feel the need to hide it all. "Heh...hi sir" she was nervous, he was going to get on at her for not going to class, he was going to take Kiko away from her.

Shota saw the color drain from her face and saw her eyes gloss over with fear, "You aren't in trouble Etzumi, I just need a chat about next term."

She slowly nodded, picking up the plate of sandwiches and fruit, taking it to her sister, "I'll be too minutes munching, Aizawa-Sensai wants a chat" She explains, and her little sister nodded with a smile.

It was about 20 minutes later when Aizawa had explained Nezu's preposition. her face was colorless, she didn't want to leave. "You get to start back fresh next year, you will still be in the hero course" Aizawa offered but tears began spilling from Etzumi's eyes. "And leave my friends? leave the only people I care about I think now" She was upset, terrified, and angry, all of which caused her to storm off in a run.

"Etzumi Konishi get back here" Aizawa warned as he walked to catch up with her, she looked back to her teacher and ran into something causing her to fall but she managed to use her quirk to catch herself. "Hey, watch where you- Zumi?...omg are you okay?" the thing she ran into was in fact a who, and that who was Izuku Midoriya someone she hadn't spoken to since she failed him, mich to Izuku's dismay.

"they are making me leave, I don't want to leave, Izuku I don't want to it's not fair" her outburst caused a scene and got the attention of all the classmates, who in turn made a row about it being unfair and causing more of a mess for their teacher. It was 10 minutes before his voice came booming.

"ENOUGH"

then stunned silence followed.

"Etzumi, Along with Kiyoko and Hyriko are leaving for her own good, she will be back in April with the new year ones so she can start fresh after recuperating from her struggles and memories of her past, it is an entirely fair and reasonable course of action to ensure to safety and success of our students" This voice shocked them all as Principle Nezu calming walked through the crowd that was gathered.

"But...I'll...I'll do my exams, I'll catch up on all my year one work if I am to leave I want to come back to my friends, my class, those who I care about...I don't want to have to start again..." Etzumi was begging now. heaped in a pile on the floor in front of her principal.

Nezu seemed to contemplate for a moment before answering the girls' plea."When March comes around you are to be assessed, if you pass you may complete your year one alongside your year two and sit final exams in the summer break, understood?" Nezu was stern and with a steely gaze but even with teary eyes, she held his gaze.

"I understand"

She was fighting for her rights, determined to remain in Class 1A, to stay where she feels safest even after all the hardships villains have to cause the class, there is nowhere she feels more at home and home is something to fight for.

It was agreed that the 3 of them would depart the next morning and that time came around faster then anyone wanted it, the morning was filled with sobs and teary eyes goodbyes from everyone but one- Katsuki Bakugo.

Izuku Made his dismay very cleary and it came with a very long apology about the events of late September when they fell out and stopped talking, it touched her heart, settling warming within her chest as she engulfed him.

With her bag in hand and Kiyoko's hand in hers, along with Hyriko, she readied to leave, sad that one of her closest friends never said goodbye when the friend in question approached her.

"Don't go making yourself more of a mess alright-" his gaze was on the floor and he scuffed his boot against the floor. they had grown quite close with their time together in class and dorm, He always knew something was up but knew she wasn't ready to share it with him, which was completely understandable as he knew he could be a loudmouth at times.

"Need to back in working order by April if you are to return and we don't want you missing that chance, gonna miss you Etzu..." he ended his farewell by planting a soft kiss on her cheek and leaving before she could even process what had happened.

The shock settled inside of her and she placed down her bags, fetching a had up to her cheek with a soft, dazed smile. Kiyoko giggled saying that was Yukky while Hyriko retorted.

"Come on lover girl" she smiled at her sister before continuing as they left. "We will get you in tip-top shape because -

- even the darkest nights will end and the sun will rise again"

- hope, that is something Etzumi is familiarizing herself with. though she still struggles to get through the day due to the stressed of catching up and with school and dealing with her problems eating away at her she knows now that there is light at the end of this tunnel, hope for a better time.
- Aizawa and Nezu suggest taking time off to recuperate but she is more than happy to start afresh next year, she argues that she will work her hardest and do all 1st-year work alongside the second year if she can rejoin her class when she comes back, they agree.
-Bakugos goodbye is notable
