Trigger Warning - Brief Mention of self-harm!

Etzumi hasn't left her room in days, not for her sisters, not for class, not for counseling and not even for Deku - and he was bringing to worry. He promised her that he'd not tell anyone, but that promise was built on the idea that they'd both hold up their sides of the deal. Deku would tell no one as long as Zumi was going to her counseling and working on getting better.

And with this knowledge why did Deku still feel like he was betraying her trust when He walked up to Aizawa's door, why did he feel like he was breaking the promise even though it was already shattered? He fetched up his fist to knock on the wooden door before lowering it.

"I'll give her one more day.." He sighed walking back into the common area of 1-A's dorm building. Everyone was quiet, they had all picked up on Zumi's strange behavior pretty quickly and all began to worry when she stopped showing up to class. Even Bakugo - who was literally saved from a kidnapping just a few days ago, was more worried about Zumi then himself.

Deku's heart was heavy with guilt, he blamed himself for Etzumi's spiraling because he got distracted, he forgot to keep an eye on her, forgot to make sure she was okay - because he was too focused on Katsuki, which is completely understandable right, one of his close friends was kidnapped he's aloud the show other friends attention and worry. So why did he hurt so much for doing so?

It was another 2 days before Deku found himself at Aizawa's door again, taking a deep breath he knocked - Etzumi hadn't left her room in almost a week and though Deku didn't think there was anything in there that she can use to cause herself harm - he was still worried about what could be happening, what was she doing to herself. It wasn't even clear if she was eating or not because no one ever saw her out of her room.

"Ai...Aizawa...It's about Konishi..." Hos voice shook as she spoke up and the wooden door was quickly opened. "Miydoria - Please come in-" He looked tired, more tired than usual. Deku felt bad for him and then felt even more guilty about not going forward with this any sooner.

"Please don't be mad at me for this- I promised her I wouldn't say anything. I didn't want to hurt or betray her in any way even though I know I should have come forward about this much sooner and I-" Deku was rambling, hesitating on getting to the point. "Izuku, slow down and get to the point" Aizawa cut him off slightly frustrated.

"Etzumi self-harms-"

Aizawa's eyes widened as he pushed his way past Deku and out into the hall. Why hadn't he seen this earlier, how had he not noticed. There were plenty of warning signs and yet he missed it. He was her teacher, he was supposed to keep her safe, give her someone to talk to, support her. Yet he failed to do any of that.

In an instant he was at Konishi's door, he knocked lightly with a sigh. "Etzumi, if you don't let me in, I am going to have to force my way in " His voice was level but his face showed volumes of different emotions, mainly hurt. Deku was by his side in an instant. "Zumi, I'm so sorry...I told him...I told him your secret...I know I promised I wouldn't' but I had no choice... I was scared." Neither of them got a reply.

"Please Etzumi...Please don't shut me out"

Deku slid his back down her door, hands in his hair as he cried. He felt like a failure. He failed at being a good friend to Etzumi and Failed at being a model student for Aizawa."Midoriya, Come with me - we are going to go talk with Nezu" His voice was stern, but his eyes were glossed over like he was about to cry. The boy offered a nod as he got up following his teacher down the halls and out towards the main building.

Initial Plan

- Zumi has spiraled, she stopped going to her counseling, she stopped leaving her room, she stopped going to class. she shut the world out and everyone in it.  Zumi is slowly slipping, with every day that passes without her parents, without her little sister.
- Deku is scared. he's been shut out like everyone else, everyone is worried even kacchan seems put off by the way Zumi is acting, he sees he has no choice, he's afraid of what she might be doing to herself in there - he tells Aizawa of everything. this sets off alarms for Aizawa and he rushes to the dorms to try to fix the wrongs.
