Chapter 7: Battle in the Forest

(Y/N)'S POV:

After I told Rias and the others to leave the Leshen to me & ask Zatouji about the forest's center, I made my towards the totem.

As I continued to journey deeper into the forest, I spotted a few claws marks on some trees and boulders.

I investigated the claw marks. "Leshen either sharpened it's claws or just marked of its territory." I said to myself as I heard rustling from the bushes behind me.

I grabbed my sword and rushed towards the bushes. Suddenly, a blur exited from the bushes, nearly escaping my sword swipe. I see a small white cat.

I put my sword away and bent down to the cat. "Hello, what are you doing here?" I asked it as a bat and a bird flew next to it. Then a pack of tiny glowing demons and a small blue dragon appeared. "And these must your friends, huh?" I asked the cat as it nodded.

"Well, sorry but I can't stay and chat, I got a Leshen to kill." I said before standing up and walking away. The bat's eyes started to glowed dark red.

(POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON POV)

Back at the Gremory house, Rias' eyes glowed the same color as the bat before turning back to normal. She walked out of her room to see Akeno. "So, how's (Y/N) doing?" She asked. "He investigated some claw marks on the some trees and boulders, and believes that the Leshen was either marking its territory or sharpening his claws." Rias explained the events her familiar both seen and heard. Akeno can see the look of worry in her eyes.

"Rias, don't worry, Y/N)'s been through worse. I'm sure he can handle the Leshen." Akeno assures, placing a hand on her shoulder. "But what if something happens?!" Rias exclaimed worriedly. "Then we'll help him." Akeno said. "Now, come on. Sirzechs needs to see us right-a-way." Akeno said as she left. Rias was in deep thinking as she followed.

"I just hope you'll be safe, (Y/N). Their's no one out their who can replace you." Rias thought to herself, in fear of losing the Witcher she'd loved.

(POV CHANGE: (Y/N)'S)

After the having the encounter with bat and it's friends, I continued deeper into the forest.

I soon found myself in a clearing with a few trees. In the middle of those trees, lies the Leshen's Totem.

"Their you are." I said. But before I could destroy it, a pack of 10 wolves appeared from the tall grass. They gathered around the totem and growled at me. I sighed. "Knew it couldn't be that easy." I said before pulling out my sword.

The wolves began to surround me as they began to charged at me. I brought out the Quen shield as the wolves began clawing at it. I hit them with a Aard blast. As they got up, I stopped them with a Axii. I charged at them and swing my sword and decapitated 4 of them.

The Axii worn off as the wolves charged at me, but I countered them with a Igni blast. As the fire stopped them dead in their tracks, I grabbed my crossbow and shot 3 wolves in the head.

With 7 of their pack mates dead, the remaining wolves fled into the forest. I let out a sigh. "Guess that's that, but they be back to help the Leshen." I said before making my way to the totem.

"Now then, it's time to dance." I said before slashing the totem, destroying it. Suddenly, a swarm of birds appeared and flew straight passed me as they began to cluster together in a form of black smoke.

But little did I know, is that i have a bunch little of little spies watching me.

(POV CHANGE: 3RD PERSON)

Back at the Gremory house, Rias, her peerage, Sirzechs, Grayfia, Kuroka & Raynare's group was watching (Y/N) through a crystal ball.

"What are the birds doing?" Asked Koneko. "I don't know." Answered Sirzechs. Suddenly, the smoke disappeared as a large humanoid creature with a deer skull for a head, tree bark for skin, branches on it's back, holding both a human skull and a bone, deer antlers on it's head, sharp claws and a torn skirt and shirt, appeared from the smoke.
