FIRST DATE, FIRST DATE, FIRST DATE...
Those two words rang through Minatozaki Sana's head the day it was occuring. She stood in the middle of her bedroom, wearing only an oversized t-shirt that she had stolen from her brother years ago as pajamas. Bae Suji rummaged through her closet, pondering.
"Why the hell would you guys go ice skating when it's summer?" She critiqued for the umpteenth time that day. "You could go and have a picnic, boat riding, anything! We're blessed with this beautiful weather, don't waste it!"
Sana just rolled her eyes, "ice skating's super fun and less pressure. The thought of having a picnic and being expected to converse on your first date is nerve-wracking to say the least."
"I can't relate. My first date had no pressure at all."
When Suji started raising her brows suggestively, Sana pushed her in a playful tone. She didn't want to imagine what her best friend was insinuating. Her first date certainly won't be like that.
Grabbing a thin cream jumper that fell past her thighs and light washed ripped jeans, Suji then fashioned one of Sana's brown belts around the jumper and paired the whole outfit with white sneakers. Once Sana wore it altogether, it looked great.
"Fab," was all Suji said, twirling the girl around.
For the first time in a longwhile, she felt fab.
Suji accompanied her outside the house after she'd told her parents she would be leaving with her best friend (living with slightly old–fashioned parents meant she had to lie one way or another). At that moment, the recognizable ping of a text sounded from Sana's phone.
BAEKHYUN: i just came into your neighborhood! will be at your house in 2 ☺️
Sana grinned at that. She made Suji wait the two minutes for her, in a way to prevent her highly giddy self from getting too nervous and running back home. As promised, he appeared in two minutes. Suji checked this on her phone timer, turning to Sana in pure shock when the familiar figure appeared right on time. The knight in shining armour was clad in black jeans and a designer printed t-shirt, looking fairly casual with a backwards cap on. But most importantly he was wearing an incredibly infectious smile on his face. Sana's heart skipped a beat.
Suji was the first to greet the newcomer, "you look excited!" She teased him.
"I'm always excited to ice skate," Baekhyun responded as normally as he could, but he failed to control the grin on his face. To be honest, excitement was an understatement.
