"SO YOU'RE ROMANTICALLY LINKED WITH SOMEONE?"
Son Naeun's scowl on her face could kill if possible. This was probably the icing of the shittiest cake ever for her. As to why she was so against her best friends being in love was debateable.
"Sana, you're kidding. Right?" Bae Suji squealed excitingly, leaning back onto the lockers as if she was the one in Minatozaki Sana's shoes. "It has to be Chanyeol."
It would've been ideal for the girl to tell her best friends the tumultous night it happened but groundings happened. Her parents were nothing short of furious and took all technology appliances away from her, leaving her to grovel in the comfort of her bed. She didn't even get to see the supposed text Park Chanyeol said he was going to send.
"No I'm not, and it is," she confirmed giddily. The actual thought of dating Chanyeol was still something she wasn't accustomed to. Was he a romantic or more playful? Probably the former based on his confession.
Something weird happened, luckily witnessed by Suji and Sana. Naeun grinned. "Good for you, Minatozaki. Seems you have game. And Chanyeol is a perfect suit for you."
"Surprising hearing that from Son Naeun," Suji pushed the taller playfully before returning her attention to Sana, "you and Chanyeol make an adorable pairing. He's so pretty for a guy."
Naeun's eyes wavered towards the said person as he approached the trio, "and he's on his way..."
Suddenly Sana felt like hyperventilating. Maybe her school uniform was ironed inadequately that morning, or she didn't brush her hair properly. Maybe the heavier makeup she opted to wear in order to impress him looked too cakey. But all of those thoughts faded when she was she turned around and was greeted with his extremely attractive smile which only grew when their eyes met.
"Hey," he simply uttered— deep voice and all — and then he quickly wavered his attention to her awaiting best friends. "Hi guys. Mind if I steal your friend for a moment?"
"Take all the time you need," Naeun replied in a tone that hasn't been present in her voice for a long time. The pair linked arms and escaped from the vicinity, leaving Sana and Chanyeol on their own.
He brought out his large phone, "you didn't text me back and I thought something bad happened to you."
"Something bad did happen to me. My parents and a life sentence."
"I'm so sorry," Chanyeol frowned, "it's all my fault, right?"
Sana was quick to retort to his statement. "No! God, no. It was my fault for going to a party when I was still under heavy probation. It's okay though."
