"'Think. If you were looking for jewels, who would know best?" Tails asked, quizzing Sonic.

"I don't have to think about it." Sonic smiled. "Rouge obviously. She sniffs them out like there's 100 Chaos Emeralds just lying around." He made an analogy.

"Ask her then." Tails wanted Sonic gone, so he could begin his research.

"Okay. You gonna be alright on you're own?" Sonic asked before leaving.

"Yep. And if you need help, I'm only a call away." Tails flashed his wrist communicator.

"Cool. Alright then. I'll head off. See ya later." Sonic gave Tails a quick kiss, then sped away to look for Rouge.

Tails smiled, closing the door behind Sonic. "Finally." He got on a computer, and began researching for his big idea.

Sonic was out for a while. He checked on the other teams, and destroyed a few stray robots, but so far no Emeralds. "Looking for something, Big Blue?" Rouge asked seductively, landing behind Sonic.

"Rouge. There you are." Sonic turned to face her. "Have you found any Chaos Emeralds? And don't say no, because I won't believe you." He asked her rather forwardly.

"Well, we both know Shadow has the Purple one, and I think a certain knucklehead may have the Red one. As for the Light Blue one..." Rouge showed it to Sonic.

"Sweet! That's 6 now!" Sonic celebrated. "Egghead has really lost his way. I need to get it back to Tails for safekeeping. Mind handing it over?" Sonic asked, holding his hands out to receive it.

"Not so fast." Rouge pulled the Emerald away from Sonic. "It's all yours, provided you do one small favor for me~" Her breasts became noticeably bigger.

"Umm..." Sonic blushed, trying not to look. "Really? You know I don't... I like... You know." He couldn't find the words.

"Come now. Don't tell me you haven't thought of rubbing it between his tails, or along his you know what." Rogue went closer to Sonic. "Gotta have practice, you know~"

"Rouge." Sonic put his foot down. "I don't float that way, and I'm not about to cheat on Tails. Keep your Emerald." He declined her offer. "Sheesh. Talk about desperate."

"You think I'm desperate?" Rogue took the declination in pride as her breasts returned to normal. "Talk to Amy. She can't go a single day without pleasuring herself. She's that obsessed with Cream." Rouge gave news.

"Amy and... CREAM?!" Sonic asked in surprise. "But Amy was so obsessed with me. Why Cream? She's so young." Sonic hoped Amy wouldn't go that far.

"Because Cream is to Amy what Tails is to you." Rogue gave an analogy. "A sibling figure, who wants to be more. Amy doesn't have anyone else."

"I guess." Sonic knew it was the truth. "I felt horrible telling her. I didn't want to break her heart but... I let her down as gently as I could." Sonic felt bad, and sat down to think about things.

"Maybe it's a coping mechanism. Who knows with Amy." Rogue shrugged, sitting by Sonic. "The Green Emerald." She continued. "No one knows where that one is. I've checked the skies, Shadow checked the ground, and Omega even checked underground." Rouge hinted at something.

"Hmm..." Sonic pondered for a moment. He looked into the distance, and his eye caught his worst nightmare. "Y-you think it could be there?" He pointed shakily to the ocean.

"Well, that's the one place we haven't looked." Rouge shrugged. "Light Blue is yours if you go down there right now." She joked, knowing he wouldn't do that.

"You kidding?" Sonic didn't take the joke. "I can't swim, I'll drown." He shook his head no rapidly. "Keep the Emerald, I'm not that crazy."

"You're clearly crazy for Tails." Rouge stood up and stretched. "Why do you need these Emeralds anyway?" She asked. "It's not like you need to go Super."

"Tails and I made a deal." Sonic gave a sly smile. "Get the Emeralds, get him." He gave a seductive laugh. "But I don't want to rush it anyway." He remembered Tails decision. "I really love him. A lot."

"Sounds like he's desperate too. Good restraint, Blue." Rouge smiled. "It's a big horny world out there, and boy do I need protection." She flew away, leaving behind a small piece of paper which simply read Vector.

Sonic picked it up. "She's always so mysterious. Vector, huh? Let's go see him." Sonic ran to the city, to the Chaotix headquarters. He knocked on the door. "Vector? You in?" The door was open, so Sonic saw himself in.

Five stars hit the door around Sonic. Espio appeared. "Sonic. Got a case for us?" He asked.

"Ahh, Espio. You startled me." Sonic held his heart in his chest. "Actually, I need to see Vector. Know where he is?" He asked.

"Last I saw he was comforting Charmy. Bee had a bad dream involving some smaller bee asking something about jazz for hours on end." Espio wondered.

"Ugh... Jazz. I can see that being a nightmare." Sonic cringed and shuddered.

"Follow me." Espio retrieved his stars and led as Sonic followed.

Vector was humming a lullaby to Charmy. Sonic approached quietly, so as not to disturb them. "Uhh, Espio, how long is this gonna take?" He saw Espio had vanished.

Vector finished his lullaby as Charmy fell asleep. Vector's tail appeared to move on it own. "Espio!" Vector whispered intensely. He then noticed Sonic standing at the door.

"Hey Vector. Since when do you sing?" Sonic asked as Vector approached him. "Maybe you should make a career out of it."

Vector facepalmed and took Sonic to the front office. "Remember our Heroes adventure? Our team blast was a concert, and I was the singer." He reminded. "Anyway, what brings you? Got a case for us?"

"Actually, it's Rouge that sent me here. She's very cryptic, and just left this piece of paper." Sonic showed it to Vector. "I thought you might have found another Chaos Emerald."

"Well, what else did she say?" Vector wondered. "Where hasn't she looked?"

"The sea. It's all that's left to search. And we know I can't swim." Sonic reminded. Vector took a reclining pose, and stared at Sonic, waiting for him to connect the dots. "OH!!" Sonic realized and facepalmed. "Think you could go for a swim for me?" He asked Vector.

"Of course, but it'll cost ya. The case of the missing Chaos emerald is now open. If you wish me to investigate, I'll need compensation. Rates start at 150 rings a day." Vector talked business.

"150 a day?" Sonic asked in disbelief. "You're robbing me blind, Vector. Come on. Can't you give a friend a discount?" He asked.

"That IS the friends discount." Vector informed. "Normal rate is 300 a day." Vector advised. Sonic gave a bit of a monologue to Vector in hopes to guilt him, but it was unsuccessful. "There's nothing else I can do, Sonic. 50% is the best I can do. Any lower and the government shuts us down. Then boom. No more detective agency." Vector drooped his head. "Consider yourself lucky. I never give discounts to anyone anyway."

"Fine... I'll pay up. Just get me that Emerald, okay?" Sonic sighed in defeat.

"Another option is 400 rings for three days, or 800 rings for a week." Vector gave options.

Sonic looked out the window. "Why does the ocean have to be so big? Fine, I'll pay you a weeks worth." He began to get a card out.

"You can pay half now and the rest when the week is over if you want, or you can pay it all now." Vector gave more options.

"I'll pay it all now." Sonic huffed, giving Vector the card. "You'll bleed me dry, Vector."

"Alright. Give me an hour to prepare, then I'll head out. Thank you for your business, sir." Vector tipped an invisible hat.

"Yeah yeah, just get me that Emerald." Sonic left in a huff, but was stopped at the door by Espio.

"Believe me Sonic." Espio spoke. "That was generous. Regular prices would be 1600 for a week."

"I know. Happy hunting, Espio." Sonic continued, running home to Tails.
