It was the last class of the day for me. Meaning that I could kick off my shoes and rest for a bit without letting the professor notice. Nah. It was nothing like that. My last class just had to be my worst. To top it all off, I still had my lame librarian job to attend and I was stressed out already.

My English professor, Mrs. Gingsberg, looked as sweet as a strawberry, but once you get to know her, she would slap your face, crumble you to death with assignments that weren't really necessary, and yell at you at least twice everyday. Every time the principal comes in, Mrs. Gingsberg mean appearance would turn back into a smiling, positive, generous lady. Kind of like Mrs. Brooke, but a thousand times rude. Probably why I have a B- (B- to me is a horrible grade :|) in English and my favorite subject was supposedly English.

As I walked down the hallways of my college, clawing my way through the massive crowd of adults, Ifelt a tap on my shoulder. Turning around, I was greeted by a giraffe with blond, quiffed, hair, black clothing from head to toe, and a side lip ring. Luke Hemmings, my best friend since 5th grade. Wearing black everyday from the day when he was a baby and tall as fuck. He was usually standing out because you could tell just looking at the girls drooling over him. But honestly, I thought he was just a big dork that seemed to have a lot in common with me. Being idiots.

Yet, I could still put up with drama that came with Luke. I was quite pleased to actually have a best frined, but with drama, it came with screaming and I never liked enjoyed arguements with Luke's other friends. Luke had also made a promise that we would go everywhere together. Then here we were, still best friends, at the same college, with the same professor for the last class of the day. Good to have at least a best friend with me to complain about the stupid little things about my librarian job or Mrs. Gingsberg.

"Hey Lani," Luke smiled like he always does. He walked besides me as the crowd lessened.

I clutched my books to my chest tightly and sighed loudly that almost everyone heard. "Hey Luke."

Luke licked his lip ring. "Stressed again?"

I looked up to Luke with raised eyebrows. He literally was a giraffe. My neck just ached from turning my head upwards as if trying to see the sun above me. "Ya think?"

"Nope," Luke said sarcastically then laughed like a little school girl. He lightly punched me on the arm.

I rolled my eyes, resisting a smile that tugged at the corner of my lips. I couldn't get over the fact of how funny his laugh was. It was like a dying walrus.

I turned into the classroom, taking the back seat as always. Luke always sat next to me everywhere just because he "didn't want to be alone because nobody likes him" when there was obviously a bunch of girls that wanted to pounce on him right now. Guess thats what best friends are suppose to do right?

Mrs. Gingsberg apporached the table at the front as other students started crowding through the empty seats. Mrs. Gingsberg looked full of energy today; with her blond hair up in a bun and a pencil stuck in her hair, it gave her a more... intenseful look. Yay.

As the projector turned on, I already knew I was going to be attacked by something horrible. And I was right. In bold black letters the word "POP QUIZ" had been written in at least 38 font.

I immidiately regretted coming to this class.

"Oh my God," I mumbled, slumping in my chair, already dying. "I didn't even really pay attention in class these past few days!"

"I don't think it'd be that bad," Luke said, giving a reassuring smile while biting on his lip ring. I knew it was a fake smile. I could tell when someone was feeling down because myself had been hurting inside often.

"You have 45 minutes begining now," Mrs. Gingsberg announced, holding a timer and slaming it on her desk, loudly.

I took the paper that passed around and took out a pencil. Reading through the paper, I did not know any of the answers. Groaning, I began to write random things, already expecting my grade to drop to a C.

"Are you free tonight?" Luke asks as they both walk outside of campus.

"No," I replied, sadly, "I have to go to my lame job remember?"

"Ah," Luke nodded. "And that lame job would be.."

I rolled her eyes. "Have you been lisenting to all my complains lately?"

Luke quickly nodded. "Yah totally."

I smirked and sighed for the 100th time today. "I have to work at the library for my English grades."

"Oh," Luke said stopping from his tracks, making me stop too. "Maybe we can hangout sometime later on the weekends?"

"Yah sure," I smiled. "Oh and can you take this to my room." I threw Luke my pruse and then all my books at once, giving him a thumbs up.

Luke scoffed, but picked up everything easily. Having best friends were way easier. But as I dragged myself to the library, I felt like I had a thousand pounds weighing down on me.
