I reached the library doors and instantly regretted coming here in the first place. But I couldn't afford my English grade to go below a B- or else I'd be kicked out into another class. Meaning, that I could no longer attend English. Why couldn't life be so much easier? At least there could be a chance the library wouldn't be as filled as yesterday.

I groaned as I pushed the double doors of the library open. It was completely empty. My spirit brightened a bit as I puffed out a cloud of relief. Walking to my work box, I signed in my name, indicating that I was present. Today, I had a liking for picture books. After all the writing on that pop quiz, I was done with words for the rest of the day.

I walked to the children's section, taking a book called Princess FairyTale with flying princess in the woods. I probably read this book a thousand times, but the fact that the plot was overly dramatic made it even more amusing for me. I slumped against the wall and began to read.

------

"Hi," a voice boomed loudly above me.

I snapped and stood up quickly, bumping into someone's head. "Ouch, what the actual fuck." Rubbing my forehead, I retrieved the book from the ground.

Once I looked up, I saw a boy, biting on his bottom lip, looking as if he did nothing to hurt me. I remebered this boy. Same fluffy hair, same plump lips, and the same Asian look. Wasn't he the one I was drooling over? I immediately straightened my shirt and racked my hair with my fingers.

"You were sleeping and .. uhm drooling," he pointed out. He put his hands in his pocket and looked down at his feet.

Great, I thought, Already friend zoned.

I wipped my face and realized I was drooling. "Uhm... yah thanks for telling me?"

His eyes shifted to the book in my hand. He chuckled. "Nice book you've got there. Is it good?"

My eyes widened as my hands quickly put it in a random slot. "I don't know-I mean.. yah the plot is... confusing. But I like the fairy princesses."

His eyebrows furrowed as he ran his fingers through his hair. "You like princesses?"

I deplored what I just said. "No..?"

He laughed again. God his laugh was soothing like it came from an angel. I could listen to it all day on replay. Surprisingly, his laughs made me less tense, and that was something that didn't happen frequently.

I licked my dry lips, craving for water. "So why are you here again?"

"Oh yah, I'm looking for another book about plants."

"For school again?" I was already walking over the the plants section.

"Yah."

"How many school projects do you have?" I asked as I turned a sharp corner.

"A lot," he said, rubbing the back of his neck as if unsure about how many he acutally had. "I wish I could drop out of school."

I nodded and turned into another corner. "There's a whole shelf of books about plants there," I pointed to the back shelve.
