Nothing much happened for the next three days. I went to school and came home. Over the weekend I spent most of my time jogging the bush around the creek. I loved my time exercising. It let me think.

But there was one thing that needed doing. Early saturday morning, I texted Matt.

JESS:

Hey! You up for some movies or something today?

His reply was almost instantaneous.

MATT:

Nah, got some stuff to do. Maybe next weekend.

It struck me as odd since he was always up for a movie day at my place. Maybe he's just spending the day with Ainsley, I reasoned. But the question that followed was a tricky one, Why couldn't he just tell me that? It drove me mad thinking he was keeping something from me. So I pulled on some sneakers and gym gear ad headed out like I was going for a run. I reasoned that I probably would after this anyway.

Slowly, I made my way to Matt's street and searched for the best vantage point. I hid behind a hedge on the corner of his street, knowing if he drove anywhere he'd have to pass right by me. And soon enough he did just that. His beat up old Honda reversed from the drive and meandered its way to the corner, taking a right.

I took off once he reached the next corner, sticking close to the buildings and shrubbery where possible. Eventually, on one side of the road, the buildings gave way to the woods. It was perfect, and by the looks of his direction it seemed he was headed for school. I smirked to myself, knowing a shortcut through the trees. As soon as he made the final turn that could only mean he was headed for the campus, i darted between the trees and allowed my full speed to take reign.

I easily beat Matt to the school, but found the carpark was not quite empty. There were three cars already parked closest to the principals office. One I knew to be Mr Morans, but the others I couldn't be sure of. Nonetheless, I pressed on, sneaking into the main office of the school and setting myself up in the room directly above Moran's office. I sat in a corner and waited. The sounds from below had me perplexed. There were three males. One was Moran, but the other two were unfamiliar. They smelled similar to how I remembered Moran being a few days before. Could they be werewolves too? I asked myself.

There was the sound of a door openign and closing, then Matt's voice rose up in greeting. Moran  introduced the other two men to Matt as Alpha Reed Grey of the Dawesons Creek Pack and Alpha Devin Hawkins of the Mountain Ridge Pack. He then invited them all to sit and then began to explain the situation. My situation. My mouth opened in shock. I couldn't believe they were discussing me and without my consent. I had half a mind to storm down there and demand to know what was going on, but I figured I'd be safer where I was.

Moran proposed to these "Alpha's" that one of them should take me into their pack. It seemed that werewolves from both of their packs attended the school and Moran, as the Principal, held quite a bit of sway with them.

As the discussion flowed and ideas bounced about the room, the topic turned to that of Matthew Hudson.
