Kaine opened his eyes. Before he could sort out his thoughts, his driver told him that he'd arrived. Weaving out a long sigh, he got out of the car. Kaine walks towards the school with a neither slow nor fast pace. He then heard a voice, "Kaine!"
Hearing his name, he stopped and looked towards the voice. He saw Edwin smiling brightly towards him. [ What a fake smile.] Kaine commented in his mind.
"Couldn't you say a 'hello' or a 'good morning'?" Edwin asked as he pouts.
"Don't talk to me with that kind of tone, it's disgusting." Kaine told the other as he held a face that describes how he thinks. "I'm not feeling well, so don't speak."
"Hmm~ not feeling well eh?" Edwin asked as he quirks up his eyebrow.
Kaine frowned and picked up his pace. The two boys went towards the school ignoring the whispers of other students.
Girl 1: "Look! It's Edwin and Kaine!"
Girl 2: "They're so beautiful! They look like they've come out of a painting!"
Girl 3: "I can't believe they're friends!"
Boy 1: "What's so good about them anyway?"
Boy 2: "Yeah! They're just handsome, nothing good."
Boy 1: "Exactly!" The boy agree.
(Time skip)
After the class ended, Kaine went to a secluded place in which people rarely go. It was a place behind the school. The place was filled with flowers and trees of the forest.
He could smell the sweet scent of the flowers together with the distinctive smell of the grass. Colourful flowers shimmering in the gentle ray of the sun. It looks like a fairytale.
Kaine found things strange that no one goes to this beautiful place. He was suspicious at first but soon kept it in the back of his mind. Kaine looked around the place until he founded a bench to sit on. He then took out his note book and started to write. However, as soon as he finished writing, he heard a sound.
"Achoo!"
Hearing this, Kaine stood up. His brows drew together a he asked, "Who's there?"
Behind the bushes, a hand stretch out. Looking at the hand carefully, he finally saw the man behind the bushes.
"You're— aren't you Rune?!" Kaine shouted as soon as he saw the person.
"Oh~? You know me? Never knew I was so famous."
"Were you spying on me?" Kaine asked suspiciously. [No...he—]
"Spying? Just so you know, I was here before you. What in the world are you doing here anyway?"
"I only wanted to find a place that's quiet." Kaine answered truthfully.
"Well don't you know that this place is off limits?"
"Off limits? You're here." Kaine spoke coldly. He still couldn't forget, this man was the same man that dragged his brother into the mansion. The man who played a big role in destroying what he had.
"Hey now, little fella." [ What a bad temper this fella has ] Rune paused, then continued, "As long as you're giving me this, I'll let you off this once." Rune snatched the book from Kaine.
"Give that back!"
"Sorry, but I'm taking this. Think of it as a payment for coming here. Next time you won't be so lucky, don't come back here! Till next time." Rune shouted and ran away. Kaine watched until Rune's shadows disappear from his sight. His face pale as he clenches his knuckles hardly.
