The sun pierced through the curtain, waking up Yuki and Violet, Yuki hissed as the sun blinded her making Violet laugh. 'Rise and shine, Yuki.' She said while laughing.
'Oh, bugger off Violet!' Yuki joked.
'Never! You would be lost without me.' Violet teased. Although Yuki answered honestly:
'Indeed, I would be Violet.'
The girls kept teasing each other while they were getting dressed. It was good until Violet noticed her razor blade on the floor, she kicked it under her bed before Yuki could see it and take it away from her. If she did see it she didn't show it, Violet would hide it better later but right now, she had to get Yuki out the room. Then, at that moment, someone had knocked on their door. Yuki answered it as she had got there before Violet did, to their surprise their guests were Rachel and Shadow. Violet waved to them from where she was standing, Yuki invited them in but declined the offer and Rachel suggested they go get some food.
Violet and Yuki's stomachs growled as if they were agreeing before they could open their mouths.
Down in the canteen the girls and Shadow sat at one of the longer tables, in case Tristan showed up. Violet decided to seize this moment to go back to her room and hide her blade. She told them she had forgotten something and then hurried along to her room. She retrieved the object from under her bed, almost cutting her finger on it and hid it under a loose panel in their bathroom floor. She ran back to the canteen, placing her gun in its holster to make sure she didn't arouse any suspicion. She smiled at them as came back from the counter with her food, Tristan had arrived while Violet was away and they were all talking amongst themselves. This had brightened Violet's morning, for a little while.
Rachel could tell something was up with Violet, so did the rest of her friends. That's what the were talking about while Violet was gone, Yuki had mentioned that she had seen Violet kick something under her bed this morning but didn't know what. They couldn't discuss the matter any further because Violet had turned up with her food in hand. Rachel wanted to talk to her about it but she was worried that Violet would do something stupid if she did.
Yuki also told Rachel that Violet didn't trust people easily, so she was quite surprised when Violet had came over to her saying she'd made a new friend. Yuki didn't want to mention why Violet didn't trust people but Rachel didn't mind, Violet could tell her in her own time.
Later that day, Yuki had to go speak with Tord so Violet was left sitting on her bed on her own in their room. They had already completed their patrol rounds, so there was nothing to do. Violet then decided to get up and walked into the bathroom, she locked the door and fished out her blade from under the floor panel. She brought the blade to her wrist and started cutting herself. She must have lost track of time because the next thing she knew, Yuki was knocking on the bathroom door. She was shouting 'Violet? Are you in there?'
'Yeah.' Violet replied.
'What are you doing in there?'
'I was using the toilet and I was then going to a have a shower.'
'Oh, ok then'
'I'll be out soon Yuki.'
Violet then stripped down, walked into the shower and then turned on the faucet. She let the water splash on her washing away any trace of blood, It stung a little but she couldn't risk anybody seeing the cuts on her arms. When she was finished washing away the blood she started drying herself, then working on wrapping up her slashes, she finally put her clothes back on, rolling her sleeves down to cover the bandages. She replaced the blade to where she had hidden it before and walked out of the bathroom, satisfied that Yuki wouldn't discover her little secret.
