Jakes POV
I look around and see the circle of guys around me and Patrick. I step forward and he flinches. We rock back and forth as we go in a circle.
C- Fuck him up jake
An- first punch Bud
I put my fists up and throw a punch. It skims his left cheek and people start to scream.
J- last week of school show me something
He gets me on the left cheek and I punch back. I drop my fists and see more people coming. I get hit three times in a row and the guys scream.
P- yeah Jake last week of school
I punch back but miss
P- the three months in jail I guess didn't pay off
That's when I lose it. I go forward and pull my arm back and get him in the side of the head. He drops to the ground on his ass and people jump on me. I wipe the blood from my nose and everyone backs away. Tony throws me a water bottle and I pour some in my hand. I wash my face and get all the blood away.
An- do you got him with a hard one
J- I know but he got my three times in a row
An- he ended up On his ass not you
J- true...let's go back to school
We leave the crowd around Patrick.
J- does it look like I got into fight
An- yes Jake
J- Fuck. I'm so mad thus kid it's so annoying
We get to school and we go I to the bathroom
C- at least you beat him
J- I haven't gotten I to a fight in like 5 months. I wanted to see how long I could go for
An- but he had to see it coming
C- you too Jake
J- I know let's just go
We leave and we go into the cafe. I put my head down and sit on the same side as Erika put leave space in between us. I put my arm on the table and put my head down. I take my phone out and school through instagram
E- what are you doing
J- I don't know
E- why don't you come closer
I drag myself closer to her. I hear the group having their own conversations. A spot of blood lands in my phone. I quickly stand up and leave. I get out the cafe wipe the blood away with my hand from my nose
E- Jake
J- yea
I keep walking
E- why are you being like this
J- I'm...tired
I make a right and I hear her footsteps get faster and closer. Soon she grabs my wrist and I stop
E- babe you're acting weird
J- *sighs*
E- will you look at me
I turn to her and we both look into each other's eyes.
E- Jake what happened you were doing so good
J- *sighs* I know it just needed to happen
She tugs in my arm and I go closer to her
E- are you okay
J- yeah
E- can we go clean you up
We go into a teachers bathroom

We walk into my room and I sit on my bed. Erika sits on my lap and she grabs my face
E- 4 days left
J- I know then everything is gonna change
E- but for the good
J- then we get to start that company
E- just me and you
J- that's right
There's a knock at the door and Erika gets off
J- come in
My mom walks in
P- hey guys
J- what's up
P- jake your face
J- what
P- you got into a fight
J- nothing happened
P- well I'm heading out but I'll be back later
J- yup
P- bye guys
E- bye Pam
My mom shuts the door and me and Erika both fall back on the bed.
E- I saw on Snapchat you fighting
J- it's everywhere by now
We both lay there not saying a word.
E- do you know what the guys are going
J- there staying here
E- that's good
J- yeah
It kinda gets awkward and we are back to silence. We've both been acting like boyfriend and girlfriend but like we have been getting distant. I reach down and find erikas hand and put it in mine. We both squeeze and just lay there.
J- you want to...
I don't finish my sentence and then I feel erika sit on my stomach
E- what's up
J- pool?
E- sure
She gets off and we go into my closet I pull my trunks out and go into the bathroom. I walk out and Erika comes out. I lead the way out the door and I hear her following me. I stop at a step and Erika continues down, not what I wanted her to do but it's fine. I follow behind her and she walks outside. I run past her and jump in. I get up and get my hair out of my face
E- *smiles* you're such a kid
She walks to the stairs and comes in. I walk over to her and pick her legs up. They wrap about my waist and her hands go in my shoulders. She then places her head on my shoulder but facing my neck
E- we've both been like so distant
J- *sighs* yeah I know
E- I dont want it to be like that it's probably my fault
J- are you nuts after I got out we basically spent everyday together we just needed a bit of time to ourselves
E- I guess you're right
I kiss her shoulder and she lifts her head and looks me in the eyes.
E- you promise you won't leave me no matter what
J- *smiles* I promise rik
She pecks me on the lips and she gets out of my grip
J- no don't leave me
E- fine
She comes back to me and I grab her
J- ready 1
E- Jake don't
J- 2
E- I won't talk to you
J- 3
I bounce up and pretend to go under.
E- you're lucky
J- you're hot
