Hello Garret, I hope things are going well,
Now that I realize that you might be burning in Hell,
We were friends once, it's nearly been a year now,
Ever since you decided about taking the easy way out,
I think about the pain caused, what you've put me through,
But your ambition, is what I model from you,
It hurts every night, thinking about if I really cared,
When I left public school for a better education,
The trouble you got into, how I let'em take your confidence,
Your heart was big, but your body was little.
What if I stayed, would things have been on good terms for us,
I guess we'll never know just quite how much,
I miss you, think about you everyday,
Whenever I miss you, everything becomes gray.
All that can be said is that I tried to give you my best,
Now you've had time to rest.
I can't describe what we had, all I can remember is your face,
I remember the time I found out and that I wanted to take your place,
But then I'd probably never would've gotten Eagle, or my other life's accomplishments,
I also have a loving family, so I had no other options.
You thought that it would be easier to put the gun in your mouth with your finger on the trigger,
When you pulled, it was over, but to me, it made my emotions from smaller to bigger,
It takes forever for me to recover, it comes in small increments,
But it never really fades, the memory is always on replay.
In what I write I can't describe, how to get closure or this off my chest,
Now that it has been over, it remains time for you to rest.
Garret "G." (2003-2018).
