It was lunch time and Ian and Mandy were waiting for Mickey like normal.
Ian still didn't know what was wrong with Mickey. The guy didn't say a word to him anytime he passed him in the hallway and it was getting on Ian's nerves. "Do you know what's up with Mickey?" Ian asked Mandy while she shoveled some green mush into her mouth.

"Somethings wrong with Mickey?" She said sounding generally confused. She could be oblivious at times when it came to her brother.
"Yea, he's been ignoring me all day. I mean he didn't always talk a lot but he didn't blatantly ignore me either. Ian said. Mandy shrugged and looked like she was about to say something but didn't when she saw Mickey walking towards them.

Ian smiled and waved but Mickey wasn't paying attention to them and walked right passed Ian and Mandy.
Ian turned and saw him waking to a lunch table in the back with 3 guys sitting there. Mickey sat and gave a blond guy a fist bump. "Who are they?" Ian asked and watched them carefully. "Maybe the douchebag actually made some other friends. Bout time." Mandy said and drank the last of her milk. Mandy saw Ian's face face and felt bad. "Don't worry he'll piss them off and come back to us. We're all still hanging later, right?"

"Right..." Ian muttered and considered going over to Mickey but was interrupted when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Ian's looked up and saw a smile that was practically blinding. "Hey mind if sit?"Aiden asked. Before Ian even got a word out Mandy spoke up. "Not at all." She said with a grin practically taking up her whole face.

"So I here you two went out on the town." She said with a smirk
to Aiden. "Yeah I guess." Aiden said and smiled. Aiden and Mandy got into a conversation about different things and actually seemed to get along. Ian watched them and felt happy but he couldn't help but look back at the table Mickey was sitting at. He saw them laughing at something and something inside him hurt.

The bell rang for the end of school so Ian grabbed his stuff and headed outside. Aiden wanted to hang out but then he remembered he had football practice and couldn't and he'd text Ian later. Ian waited at the steps and and saw Mandy and Mickey coming down them.

Mandy started talking about how she hates her classes more than last year.
And just like this morning Mickey stayed in the back, quiet. They got to the Milkovich house and Mandy went up the steps. Ian stopped at the bottom. "You coming?" Mandy called.
"Yeah in minute." He called back.
Mickey was halfway up the steps before Ian spoke up. "Mickey?"

Mickey stopped and turned to look at Ian. "Yeah?" Mickey stuffed his hands into his pockets waiting for the redhead to continue. "I just wanted to know if we were like, okay. Are we?" Ian asked. Mickey didn't say anything for a few second as he walked down the last few steps to meet Ian. "Yeah were fine, it's just-"

Mickey was interrupted when two dings came from both of their phones. Ian down looked at his and read a text, it was from Aiden and Mickey looked down at his phone reading his. "It's from Aiden, he says football practice got cancelled and wants to know if we could hang out." Ian said. "I mean I can cancel if-"

"No that's alright Gallagher, go hang out with your boyfriend." Mickey interrupted. "I actually got a text from Wade wanting to hang out too."

Ian felt that familiar pang in his chest from earlier. "Who's Wade?" Ian asked because he never heard of Mickey hanging out with anyone named Wade. "Just someone I met." Mickey said and Ian got the gist that he wasn't going into detail.

"So I'll see you tomorrow I guess." Ian said with a seemingly forced smile, he wanted to hang out with Aiden he really liked him but something just felt off. Mickey looked up straight into Ian's eyes and they stayed like that for seconds that felt like years,neither of them not saying a word. That was until Mickey cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head. "Yeah I'll see you tomorrow Gallagher..." Mickey muttered turning away from Ian. The two boys walked away from each other in different directions going to places they felt like they should love to go but something just wasn't right.
