*Corbyn's POV*

As soon as I reached my dorm room, I shut the door behind me and switched on my laptop. I waited impatiently for my laptop to load and paced around the room.

Finally! It's done.

"How to get out of the friend zone?" I typed out on my laptop and hit the search button.

I was about to click on a YouTube video that looked very trustworthy, btw, when Valerie immediately opened the door to my dorm room. I could see a sea of reporters asking her questions, that made her seem extremely uncomfortable. She slammed the door behind her and tried to catch her breath.

After a few awkward seconds, Valerie started to watch the television that was still on, for some reason.

"Six months ago, no one thought... the wrong side of the bridge would last. Valerie must be counting the days until the Royal Cotillion, when she will officially become a Lady of the Court" The reporter spoke. Okay how many times are they going to keep repeating this?! It is so annoying and not to mention Valerie is feeling so pressurised by it? Do they even realise that?

Valerie started to breathe heavily again and her eyes started to glow green, which is never a good sign.

"Woah! Chill down" I got up from my comfy bed.

"What? You think this is so easy?! You don't have people taking a photo of you every single time you open your mouth to say 'boo'! I mean, it's not that I could even say, 'Boo,' but, you know what I-" Valerie started.

"I'm sorry" I cut her off.

I sat back down on my bed and continued to search for websites and videos on my laptop.

"Corbyn, don't you ever miss screaming at people and just making them run away from you?"

"You're thinking of my mother, and I was usually on the other end of that. So, not really" I looked up from my laptop and. asudde realisation hit me.

"Oh, hey! Did you bring it?" I smile hoping that Val brought it.

"I-"

Valerie got cut off by someone entering the room? Who could even be now?! Jonah is running some errands and there is no way he is this fast. We turned our heads to see Jack sneaking into my room. He does know that there are people here right?

Jack took out the key from the lock and turned around to see 2 very angry people looking at him.

"Hi. Just came to use your 3D printer. Won't be a sec" Jack walked towards the 3D printer that was placed neatly on the table.

"How'd you get a key to my room?"

"Oh, I printed it off last time I was in here. Uh...you guys were sleeping. Look, I just-your printer's so much better than mine, and you install these hacks and everything runs so much smoother than mine and-"

Before he could continue any longer, I pointed my finger towards the door and told him to get out of my room.

"Fine"

"Jack!"

"What?"

"Leave the key" Jack walked towards the table and placed the keys on it.

After I made sure he was gone for good I turned back to face Valerie.

"Val?"

"Hmm?"

"The potion?"

"Hmm. Yeah um..." Valerie reached out for her pocket and took out a small red stone. This is the secret to my happiness.

"So, this thing will make me say what I really feel to Christina?"

"Yeah. I mean, this is a truth gummy, so take it or leave it"

"Perfect" I took the red stone from her hands and admired it.

"Hold on, though. Are you sure that you want to be taking this? Because this is gonna make you say the truth all the time, no matter what, and the only reason that I'm asking is because I know that if I took this right now, I would get myself sent back to the Isle. Which, it's not that that sounds super unappealing, but, you know-"

"Yeah, I'll take my chances"

"Okay" As soon as Valerie said that, Doug leaped forward snatching the red stine from my hands and accidentally ate it. At least the stone wasn't so bug that he would choke on it but hey! Ow am I gonna confess how I feel towards Christina?

"Ohh! Bad dog!" Valerie scolded.

"Man, that thing was nasty! And you-- you just got to man up. And while you're at it, scratch my butt"

Uh...

What

The

Heck.

How did Doug j-just talk?!

The expression on Valerie and my face was literally priceless but you can't blame us! Maybe the stone made Doug tell the truth about how he is feeling! Oh...

"You head him...Scratch his butt" Valerie walked out of the room with her jaw dropped.

"Val. You're just gonna leave me with him?" I yelled back.

"Come on. You scratch your own all the time"
