*Zach's POV*
I'm currently in my office sorting out a few things for the Cotillion and I am so excited about it! Valerie and I are going to have a great time. I can assure you that. I know Val ad I had a pretty bad fight. That too our first one. I'm so sorry for screaming at her though. You know what? I'm gonna go to her dorm room to apologise to her. I should be there for her.
"Deborah?" I called out for my personal assistant.
"Yes, your majesty?"
"Can you ask Lumiere to call me regarding Cotillion?"
"Yes sir"
"Thank you"
I went back to fiddling with my promise ring that I bought for both Val and I. It was a simple ring but it definitely means the world to me.
I was snapped out of my thoughts by a knock on the door.
"Zach?" Emma looked into the room, still standing behind the door.
"Emma! Come on in" I smiled.
Emma seemed to have a worried expression on her face and to be honest, it was starting to scare me.
"Val’s gone back to the Isle" She simply said. Those were the words. The words that broke my heart. How could she go back there?!
"This is my fault. This is my fault" I sat back down in my chair and played with my fingers.
"I-I blew it. She’d been under so much pressure lately, and instead of being understanding, I just went all Beast on her. I have to go there and apologize. I have to go there and- and beg her to come back" I came up with a plan.
"Zach, you’ll never find her"
"I-"
"You need to know how the Isle and how it works and...you have to take me with you"
"Yes ! Uh are you sure?"
"Yeah. She is my best friend and we'll bring the boys too, because there's safety in numbers, and none of us is really too popular over there right now"
"Thank you!"
"But let's get two things straight. You have to promise me that I won't get stuck there again"
"I promise"
"And there's no way you're going looking like that" I looked down at myself.
She's right. I'll never fit in!
