Mask party (daniel x jay) Part two

Dans POV:
We get in the car and drive to the party. I'm stuck in the back and Stephen and hosuh chat along the way. I just look out the window and admire the stars and bare streets. I start to doze off until Stephen says "ok we're here"

I sit up straight and rub my eyes looking around me. We've parked behind a brick building. "Cmon. We have to put on the masks" hosuh says as he places his on his face and turns to look at me. Hosuh looks so cool and mysterious. I grab mine and place it on my face

We step out of the car and we have to walk 3 blocks down to get to the place. It's a bar But some of Hosuhs friends rented it out for tonight to make this mask party. I'm so nervous

We wait in line hosuh talking excitedly to Stephen who is just smiling and blushing slightly. They are so cute together. I wonder if they're dating behind my back. Whatever.

We finally get in. It's so cool inside. There are a lot of guys in cool tuxes and with slick masks. There are lady's with long dresses and short dresses with pretty decorated masks. I'm in awe

"Wow. Ok cmon hosuh!" Stephen says tugging hosuh along to the middle of the dance floor "Ah ok! Bye dan, have fun!" Hosuh calls out as he disappeared into the ocean of people

Sigh. I'm left alone again. I decide to just walk over to the food table. I am kinda hungry. I haven't eaten since breakfast. Once I'm there I pick a plate and serve myself some sweets and grab some fruit punch. I don't feel like drinking. I don't wanna risk getting drunk and doing something stupid. I'm just standing there in the corner eating. I feel like shit. I thought this would be fun but I'm so lonely

I sigh and throw away my paper cup and plate. I decide to walk into the dance floor to find hosuh and Stephen to tell them that I'm heading home. Everything is fine till some guy bumps violently into me and I fall. I'm falling and shut my eyes but... I don't crash into the floor

"H-Huh?" I slightly open my eyes and look upwards to see who is my savior. Some guy with pretty golden curls with a black mask is holding me by my waist catching my fall. "Are u ok?" He says. I clear my throat and stand up normally brushing my self off

"Y-yeah. Sorry. Thank u" I say bowing slightly. He smiles and nods. We stand awkwardly for a second until He decides to break the silence. "S-so... U here alone?" I look up to him. He's pretty tall "oh no. I came with two friends but they totally ditched me and I have no one to hang out with"

He hunches over slightly and giggles. I stare in amazement. He just seems so cool. He looks back at me and smiles calming himself down "it's ok. Here, I'll be ur friend for tonight" and he extends his hand out. I look at it and look up at him. He nods slightly. I think he's asking me to dance. I think about it for a sec but decide to take his hand. The second I do he pulls me deeper into the dance floor and we dance

He moves so swiftly and carefree. I'm still a bit tense but with time I loosen up and we twirl and dance. A true moment I will never forget

Then a slow dance song comes on "everyone gather up and dance this song with a special someone" the DJ says through the speakers. Lady's and guys are gathering together grabbing eachothers waist and dance swiftly with the smooth romance song playing

My face burns up. I'm glad I have the mask on or the stranger would notice. I look up to my friend and he's smiling down at me. "May i?" Holding his hand out asking for my permission. I smile and nod placing my small hand on his bigger one. He wraps one hand down behind my waist right above my bum and I blush slightly

He then holds my hand with the other. I pull my hand over his waist aswell and we pull close to eachother almost hugging.

I've never slow danced before but I try my best to copy the movements from movies that hosuh likes to watch so much. The stranger is really good at it tho. He moves so swiftly and he just giggles ever now and then. He's so cute. I don't feel nervous around him at all. He's just so great. I look up into his eyes and smile. I Wish this night would never end.

We dance and dance the night away. Negative thoughts leaving me alone for once and pure happyness fogging my mind. I don't think about Stephen or hosuh or what time it is or if they see me dancing with some stranger. I only focus my mind on this tall handsome man and me. I close my eyes and dance slowly with him

Everything is fine until the music cuts out and is replaced with the DJ saying "alright people we're about to wrap up the party but with one thing left to do. Everyone, kiss ur partner who ur dancing with! What other way to end such a lovely night?"

My eyes open wide as I pull away from the man. He just looks at me his eyes wide too and he smiles. "U wanna?" He says smiling. I blush like crazy. But of course I want this. I relax and hold his hands "of course I do"

He smiles and he pulls me in. His soft lips collide with my smaller ones. He has to bend down a bit but it's perfect. He cups my face and we kiss a bit longer. It's such a cute smooth soft kiss. I wish it could last longer. But then we hear "ok now everyone, TAKE OF UR MASKS! Enjoy the night my friends"

I pull away from the kiss and look up at the man again waiting to see how he'll react. He giggles and says "ok. Let's close our eyes and remove our masks. And at the count of three we open em and see. Ok?" I laugh and nod  This is so childish but fun

I shut my eyes and he does the same. I remove my mask my hands shaking. I'm so nervous. "Ok. One. Two..... three!" And i open my eyes and so does he

My world shatters as I realize who my mystery man is. "J-jay!?" I say backing away my eyes wide as I drop the mask

"Dan?" He says covering his mouth with his hand we just stand there in shock. I don't know what to do or say and he seems confused as well

I look down in embarrassment. I decide to apologize "I'm so sorry jay. I didn't know it was u"

I don't know why but my eyes start to fill with tears. I feel like all of this is my fault. I should've never came to this stupid party. I just ruined my friendship with jay.

I feel jay walk towards me and I tense ready for whatever happens next. But ,by my surprise, he actually places his hand on my chin tugging it upwards making me look him in the eyes. He smiles so softly that I'd melt. He giggles and says "don't be sorry dan. I'm so glad it was u"

I open my mouth about to question what he just said when he smashes his lips into mine once again pulling me deep into a heated kiss. I'm caught by surprise but obviously enjoy the sweet moment.

After a while we pull away and just stare at eachother smiling stupidly. I'm so glad I came to this party. I'm so glad that he likes me back. And I'm so glad that I can finally be truly happy
