Chapter 16

Kris's POV

"Are we gonna let him stay like that?" It was Chanyeol, I can hear his voice vaguely from my room. It's been five hours since Kai and I came back from her house. Still there is no word from her. Is she okay? I won't forgive myself if there's something happened with her.

"Ssh.. He can hear you too. Beside there is nothing we can do. Do you want to talk to him? Wait! That is not a good idea, you two can burn this house down". Another answered. I think it's Baekhyun. Yeah, it's also been five hours since I locked myself inside my room. Refuse to talk to anyone.

"Hyung, you realize that he can hear you too, right?" I laughed lightly as I heard Sehun asked that. Well not asking, more like mocking.

"Ck. Babo", mocked someone else. I notice it was Chen from his voice. They were all laughed after that including me.

"Hyung! Get out of your room now! I made crispy chicken", Kyungsoo yelled at me. I laughed again before I get up and walk outside. They were all went silent as I step outside.

"Wae? Mokja!", I said like there is nothing happened. Maybe we should learn to live this life for the rest of our lives cause our savior is gone. Maybe it's time to use our mask again.

At least, it's not just me. I know the others feels the same way. All of our life, we always knew our purpose is to find her and only her that can save us. While other children wanted to be astronaut, president, singer, we just have one goal on our minds. Find her. We found her and now she's gone. Then what's our purpose?

Few hours after dinner, we decided to gathered at living room, playing games, practicing, watching movies, and so on. It was almost nine at night and we decided to play godori.

"Ya! You're cheating, aren't you?", Luhan yelled at Sehun.

"Na? Aniyo", Sehun answered while smirking.

We laughed at them when something or more like someone fall from our ceiling right onto the desk where we play godori. It's her.

"Hi?", she said.

We were all shocked and freeze for a moment after that.

"Ji Hyun ssi?", Suho speak up. It was an awkward moment before we break up the silence and help her stands up.

She explains everything to us. What she's been through today? How that damn bastard came to her house this morning and told her about her parents.

"If only I didn't left you there. I might have the chance to catch that bastard. I'm so sorry, I failed you again", I said regretted my decision this morning.

"No, it's not your fault. He was already there and he didn't do anything that harm me so-- I guess it's fine. I just need to find a way to get my parents back", she answered as she rested her back against the couch. I nodded but deep down I still can't forgive myself.

"We'll help you. All of us. We are your knights after all", Chanyeol said and agreed by every one of us.

"Thanks. I appreciate it", she smiled brightly at us.

"I'm so excited. Finally, our first mission. Ever", Baekhyun said make us chuckled.

"Alright. First thing first, you need to learn to use your magic. After that, we might have the chance to get your parents back and then--", I explained the plan briefly before I was cut down by Chen.

"Then we can all go back to Exo Planet", Chen said passionately followed by other's cheering.

"Woah.. Hold on there. Practice magic is acceptable for now but go to another planet that didn't even exist anymore, well, it's-- different", she complained.

"I know there are a lot to take but, one way or another you should lead us back to our planet, Princess", Suho said to her.

"Hey hey calm down man. Give her some space. She needs time to adjust to all of this". Luhan stepped in and cut him down.

"That's right. For now, let's just focus to improve your magic", I added before she change her mind and leave. Again.

"Alright". They all agreed to my terms.

"Ok. As a start, let's just introduce ourselves cause we never had a chance to do that properly since we met", I said. Well these past few days were just extraordinary than our daily activities.

She agreed and we spent at least two hours to get to know each other. We introduced ourselves one by one including our powers and some stories from our past life. She also introduced herself to us, where she was born, what happened to her parents, and how nice was her life before she found the truth about us. It made me feel guilty somehow.

"Alright. That's all. I have to go home now. It almost midnight", she said as she looked at her watch.

"No! It's too dangerous. We can't risk it again. Stay here tonight. We still have enough room", I said immediately. How can I let her go again after what happened today? That was a mistake that will never happen again. Whatever happened, I'll keep her here even if she said--.

"Fine. I'm so sleepy", she yawned as she stood up.

I don't expect her to agree. So did the others but, it's a good thing to start. She finally put her faith on us. Not directly but, sleeping in a house full of twelve men you never knew and claimed to be your knights in your past life must absolutely creepy except you trust them.

"Alright, you can have my room. Our managers aren't around while I can sleep in Lay's room", I answered while the others seemed agree with me.

"Is that alright? I mean I can still use the couch you know?"

"No. It's alright. Beside I have an instrument to work with Lay", I said to make her comfortable.

"What? What ins-", Kyungsoo asked innocently before Sehun cover his mouth.

"We need that instrument for our new album", Sehun said as he laughs nervously while DO mumbled something that still shows his confusedness.

"Now, let's get to bed, shall we hyung?", Sehun said again while drag DO to their room. I guess he will explain it to our innocent Kyungsoo. The others followed them to each of their room right after that.

"It's okay. Come on", I said to her while instructed her to follow me.

As we arrived, I took some of my personal belongings with me before I told her to go to sleep.

"Thank you, Kris-ssi", she smiled brightly.

"Just call me Kris. Good night", I said to her before I close the door behind me.

I smiled to myself as I walked to Lay's room. He was already in bed when I came with a smiley face. I thought he was asleep but turns out he was looking at me with a smirk on his face.

"What?" I was kinda shock when I found out that he still awake and the way he put that smirk on his face, I know he will tease me at any second now.

"Nothing", he answered still smirk on me before he turned around and cover his face with his blanket.

I smiled again after that and I can feel my heart beats faster than usual. What is it that I feel?
