Chapter 18

Narrator POV

"This is useless", Lee Ji Hyun surrenders after failed to cast a spell or flying. She looks so desperate after more than ten attempts.

"It's not useless. It's called trying", Kris answered trying to cheer her up. Their 'morning exercise' began about 3 hours ago and still there is no good news until now.

"Maybe you were wrong. Maybe I'm not the one you were looking for. I mean, I really can't do any of this stuff", she said desperately.

"No. I saw you did it. Four times. So you can do it again. You will. I promise you that", Kris said while approaching her.

"Maybe it wasn't me after all. Maybe all of this just wrong", she said again.

"You're right", Kris said suddenly.

"What?", she looked surprise at Kris's statement.

"You're right. I mean, maybe, all of this whole flying practice is wrong. You never did any of this before. But, telekinesis, healing, and teleportation are your specialty cause I've seen it before. So, maybe we should start from there", Kris sounds very excited. "Wait here", he continued before he ran across the wood to their dorm.

Ji Hyun left alone in the wood. She shrugged at Kris statement before she sat down and lean her back towards the tree. She closed her eyes and sharpened her hearings. It was so quiet that she can even hear the birds talking to each other. She started to think about her responsibility to save her parents but on the other hand, these people are so nice and kind, not to mention that they also have quiet an appearance.

Meanwhile, Kris have arrived at his dorm. He explained it to the others about his plan and they seems to agree. They then agreed to let Luhan take the first charge since they saw Ji Hyun used her telekinesis power before. Deep down, Kris felt a little bit uneasy but, he shaked that feeling immediately. Without wasting anymore time, they walked towards the wood where Kris left Ji Hyun before.

Both of them can see Ji Hyun rested under the tree and they both stunned by her beauty but, still they shake that feeling before they can even think any further. They thought she was asleep but, when she heard that someone's coming, she opened her eyes and stand right away. She was a little bit surprise when she sees Kris is coming with Luhan.

"Hey Princess", Luhan greeted her with his cute smile.

"Don't call me that. And hi", she spoke, caught herself blushing every time they call her 'princess'.

"Waeyo? I thought you are our princess", Luhan spoke again. He started to tease her while Kris become more and more uneasy.

"Ya! Geumanhaera~ (it's enough). Just start the practice so you can go home early", Kris spoke immediately to him before he turned to Ji Hyun. "If he try to do any stupid things just punch him in the face".

"Hey I won't do anything", Luhan complained while punches him in the chest.

"Yeah, I know. You should keep your pretty face for the camera", Kris laughed before he turns back and leave them.

"Are you on period or something?", Luhan jokingly yelled at him.

Kris was half way home before he stop and then turn around to the 'practice area'. He hide behind the trees and decided to watch them practice from there.

"Ok. Let's get started!", Luhan said finally. He was a little bit nervous and worried about Kris. He swear that Kris looked upset before. But he quickly shake that thought and focus on the training.

"I can't do this", Ji Hyun said desperately after failed again and again. She feels disappointed at herself. How can she save her family when she can't even do this stuff.

"You can. You did this before. All you have to do is try harder", Luhan encourage her. He fell sorry for her. It must be hard to have a life changing drastically in a few days. But she has to do this, she is their princess after all.

She sighed before sat down against the tree. "How can you do it the first time?", she asked as she rest her chin on her knee. She feel tired all of these thing and for a moment she really wants her normal life back.

"My first time experience wasn't this pleasant. You have time to practice. Me? I just jump into real life experience", Luhan let out a sigh before he continue. "I was at second grade and it was never easy, you know. The bullying. I still remembered that summer breeze. I never thought that they would do that far but they did. They beat me up until the point that I think I won't make it. But I did", he stopped to catch a breath. Ji Hyun swears she saw pain in his eyes. She wants to stop him but he keeps going.

"I think it was because of the adrenaline at first. I pushed them away only by think about it. They got angry and called me freak. Then they starting to throw stones at me", he said as he picked up a few pebbles on the ground. "I blocked it and that's what we're gonna do now".

Ji Hyun looks confused but before she could ask what does he meant, Luhan is already throwing the pebbles at her using his power. She screamed in pain, tell him to stop while Kris on the other side starting to feel anxious and ready to jump in at any moment.

"Ouch. Stop it! It hurts", Ji Hyun complained in pain as she rubs some parts of her body that got hit by the pebbles.

"I won't stop so, you have to block it", Luhan said still throwing the pebbles towards her.

"Ya! Geumanhae! Do you want to kill me?", Ji Hyun screamed in pain.

"Ya! Why do you talk banmal to me? I won't kill you. If I did, I'll just go get Yixing to heal you. Easy right? Now, get ready for bigger one", Luhan said smirking at the end of his lips. Deep down he's scared that he might hurt her but, there's no other way. He can stop the stones at any moment. She just need a little push he thinks. He starting to control big stones to fly towards Ji Hyun while Kris get ready to jump in from his hiding and cover Ji Hyun from the stones.

"Ya! Ya! Waittttt...", Ji Hyun said as she close her eyes and put her hand up to cover her face. She waits for the pain to come but, there's no pain. She slowly opens her eyes and sees the stones flew in the air just few inch from her face. She looked at Luhan with disbelief on her face. "Did you do this?", she asked.

Luhan smiles brightly as he puts both of his hands in the air, "Trust me I didn't do anything right now".

"I... I did it?", Ji Hyun asked again in disbelief. Luhan nods as he smiles even brighter in satisfaction of his work and because he didn't hurt her. Ji Hyun laughs happily still can't believe she did this. Few days ago, she was just a normal girl with a normal life. Now she can make stones flew in the air.

"Jalhanda (good job)", Kris speaks behind the trees as he unconsciously smile brightly.

"Woah, I'm a great teacher, am I? You should treat me after this", Luhan said sarcastically.

"Treat? You almost kill me remember? Now you try this too", Ji Hyun said before she starting to controls the stones to fly towards Luhan.

"Ya! Stop it! Geumanhaja! Ah! Apha (it hurts)", Luhan screamed and laughed as the stones hit his body. He didn't try to use his power anymore cause he wants to make her happy. And he did. Both of them are giggling happily while the smile fades from Kris's face as he saw them. Kris turned around and leaned on the tree. He strokes his chest as he feel something he never felt before.
