Jungkook took Taehyung to a Christmas market near the Han river and managed to omit two more numbers on the list.
13. Visit a Christmas market.
1. Create decorations and paper snowflakes.
The market had a stall for kids to make decorations with glitters, color papers, and other stuff. So Jungkook just sent Taehyung there and told him he has to make paper snowflakes even though Taehyung wanted to decorate a Christmas card. Which ended up with them fighting and Taehyung spilling glitter on Jungkook and the ravenette shouting he won't let him take pictures with Santa, and Taehyung throwing the crumpled paper snowflake at the older's face. And Jungkook wouldn't be Jungkook if he let it slid. So he grabbed another paper from the table and crumpled it into a ball and threw it at the younger.
Which led them to finish another number.
9. Have a Snowball Fight.
But with paper snowballs... literally... Less than five minutes later when they rand out of papers and started to throw other things close to them at each other, the stall's owner came and threw the two fuming young men out. Still shooting daggers at each other, Taehyung and Jungkook left the market to a more quiet place. They walked silently until Jungkook found a speculated spot by the Han river to seat down. His clothes were ruined and the glitters were sparkling more visibly on his dark coat.
Moments later Taehyung joined and they sat there in silence. A dead silence that sent more shivers down Taehyung's spine than the coldness. Only the faint buzz of people's chatters and laughter as background noise filled the space. But both too prideful to let loose and be the first to talk. Although Taehyung knew he should apologize first if he wanted to lessen the punishment that he knew would come beacause of Jungkook's coat.
Maybe it was five minutes or maybe thirty when Taehyung's stomach growled and that made the older realize they hadn't had lunch yet and he was hungry too. So he stood up, knowing Taehyung would follow, and headed to a nearby diner.
It was when they went through half of their lunch in the heavy and awkward silence that Taehyung finally couldn't take it and gave in. "Sorry," He mumbled, with his mouth full. Perhaps Jungkook understood because after looking at the boy with squinted eyes he rolled his eyes and groaned a "Don't fucking speak with your mouth full," with a disgusted face. Taehyung considered himself lucky as Jungkook didn't push it more and accepted his apology. He was starting to like this Christmas.
After lunch, they quietly strolled the streets and looked at the decorated windows. Jungkook was kind enough to let the kid spend more time ogle over some of the Christmas trees and other decorations in the showcases. But would yank him away if he was spending more than a minute over a window.
As they wandered around the neighborhood, Jungkook checked his list again to see if he could strikethrough any more options, wanting to finish the list as soon as possible.
He hesitated over number five. Jungkook threw a look at the younger by his side. He looked really happy. His nose and cheeks were a bit red from the frosty wind as it was getting colder the closer they got to the sunset. Jungkook hesitated if he should pull out some of the clothes from the bag and give it to the kid. But then Taehyung turned to him and flashed a toothy smile as he grabbed Jungkook's hand, and his hand was warm. One of his hands had a glove and the one holding Jungkook's was bare. Weirdo. Thought the older when Taehyung pulled out one of his gloves and put it in his puffer jacket's pocket. Jungkook sighed and was about to put his phone in his pocket when he saw the number five on his screen, glaring at him. As if daring him to remove it if he can. Jungkook glared back at his phone and deleted number five. "Huh! serves you right!"
5. Get a picture taken with Santa
"Hyung! Hyung! Look at that!"Taehyung excitedly pulled Jungkook inside a store. It was a confectionery. The smell of vanilla and all the sweet and sugary deserts was making Jungkook sick. He always hated the smell of bakeries. Taehyung pulled him to the end of the shop, where a huge Christmas tree was located. The tree was decorated with lollypops, cookies, icecreams, cupcakes, and candies. The leaves were coated with artificial white snow, barely letting its natural dark green color to be visible. Little hidden lights between the decorations and leaves made the tree and its candies glow beautifully. Two elves were standing by each side the huge sweet tree, roughly the size of Taehyung himself. One male elf and one female. Their clothes were made up of plastic sweets and in their hands was a tray full of cupcakes with Christmas theme, and a sign saying "Please be my guest," right in front of the trays. JUngkook guessed the cupcakes were real. Tempting. The whole shop was so tempting for children. With its shelves covered in all sorts of candies and every sweet, you could think of. The cotton candies which filled the whole shop like snow, and not to forget the long table by the window. Glowing under the lights and catching everyone's attention. because it was filled with all types of gingerbread houses. Little figurings made up of cookies and chocolate. Very tasty and pleasant. But Jungkook thought he was going to vomit from all the pastel colors and creams and cakes. Taehyung tugged his hand a little to get his attention. Jungkook guessed he wanted to ask for some candies and he was ready to say he didn't have money for such things but Taehyung whispered "Can I take one of these?" before he could say anything. And pointed at the cupcakes on the tray in the elf's hands. "Whatever, but I'm not buying you any shits got it?" Taehyung nodded quickly and took one of the cakes. But as soon as he swallowed the huge bite he took his face twisted into a disgusted one and threw the cupcake in a trashcan.
Jungkook couldn't stop his chuckle. "What? Why did you throw it way?"
"It tasted really bad!" And to emphasize it, he fake-gagged.
Jungkook shrugged, "Not everything beautiful is good." Before he took Taehyung's hand and leave the store.
Jungkook bought an advent calendar from a vendor and removed another number off the list.
23. Make an Advent Calendar.
Taehyung was beaming and giggling to himself as they were walking down the sidewalk, ready to head home after spending a whole cold day outside their warm house. But then, Taehyung halted. "Hyung!" He said with more happiness and amazement in his voice than usual. And Jungkook knew. "Oh fuck, no." The older facepalmed before he was being pulled toward a crowd.
Icerink. "Oh no," Jungkook mumbled. "Yes!!" Taehyung jumped up happily.
But Jungkook should have known, it would happen sooner or later. After all, it was on the list too.
Number 3. Ice-skating.
