"Mommy? I wanna w'ite a letter to Santa... but I don't know how..." Taehyung climbed the couch to seat between his mother and Jimin who were watching a boring movie from Netflix, judging from their droopy eyes and uninterested face. Junsoo moved a bit to make space for the child and threw a Help me look at Jimin. "Jungkook just texted that his work is almost done, go write what you want from Santa and then mail it when Jk comes, yeah?" Jimin carded his fingers through Taehyung's soft chestnut hair.

"But that's the thing, I don't know how!" The kid pouted further.

"Start with a hello Santa or something and then write whatever you-"

"Wait," Junsoo cut the other man off. "Listen Tae-"

"No!" This time Jimin was the one interrupting the other. As if he sensed what Junsoo wanted to say, he gave the girl a desperate look, begging her to shut up. Junsoo sighed in defeat and patted her son's back, signaling him to go. "Just grab a paper and do what hyung said." And gave him a half-smile as he headed to Jungkook's room before turning back to glare at Jimin. "He should know!"

"No, he shouldn't! He's just still a kid and kids should believe in Santa!"

"Yes but that's for wealthy families, so they can know what the kid wants for the fucking new year through a fake old grumpy man!" Junsoo huffed.

"Listen Jun-"

"No Jimin, you listen. I know I suck as his mother. I know I lack in a lot of ways and I can't fucking give him the motherly love he deserves because I'm always on shifts. But I don't want him to build up his hopes only for them to crumble down because we are broke and can't buy any of the shits he's going to write! He's probably going to write all those toys he saw in other children's hands or the ones he saw in the toy stores but I told him No, and he's going to wait because he thinks he's finally going to have them all!" Junsoo's words came out choked but still low enough for Taehyung to not hear.

"Junsoo..." Jimin reached a hesitant hand and wrapped it around the other's shoulders, pulling her into a comforting hug. "You are working for him, you are working so he can go to school like others too... You're far better than many of the other mothers out there. Believe me. I'm saying this from experience." Jimin mumbled the last part but Junsoo heard it and pulled away enough to give the boy a gratitude smile.

"I'm still hesitating about this Santa letter thing." Junsoo buried his face in the crook of Jimin's neck. "I don't want him to write everything and get nothing. His birthday is approaching soon too, fuck..." She sighed.

"Junsoo~ Don't worry too much." Jimin bitted his lips to stop smiling before continuing. "Jungkook..." He paused which made the other shift and look at him with quired eyebrows. "Jungkook might or might not have told him Santa clause isn't real and it's all a Christmas fiction."

"He what?" Junsoo knew she shouldn't have gotten shocked after all these times. It was predictable from Jungkook. She shouldn't but she was. "Ugh! Jungkook! I swear that kid." She really wanted to give him an earful but then remembered she was on verge of doing the same herself. He couldn't be blamed.

"Jungkook..." Junsoo rested her on the back of the couch as she pulled her knees up to her chest. "Taehyung really looks up to Jungkook." She chuckled before continuing, "Jk doesn't pretend to hate my son, he really does and I can see it. It was so fierce in the beginning and I could tell he was only getting along with Tae because of me. But now, I think he accepted him in his little circle, although still hates him. But the feeling might be less intense."
