Chapter 2

the class was over and Marinette was going to meet Chloe in the courtyard for lunch. it still surprised her when she asked but she accepted. she just needed to get her lunch from her locker.

"hello Mari~" Marinette cringed at the voice and when she closed her locker door she frowned at who she saw. Lila

"Don't call me Mari" she growled. Lila just pouted

"jeez I'm honestly just trying to be nice," she said. Marinette rolled her eyes

"yeah honest and nice don't fit in your vocabulary. what do you want? you clearly didn't come over to me for nothing" she snapped. this caused Lila to chuckle. "i just wanted to let you know that I've won like i said i would. now that all my new friends have my back and not yours your just useless with no one on your side. trust me when i say" this isn't it either."

"you honestly have issues, Lila. and it's sad. you're coming up with all these stupid lies just to make people turn their back on me huh? in my opinion. that's just sad. well, you sure did help me see their true colours" Marinette replied mumbling the last part. "Anyway if you have nothing important to say to me then i shall be on my way," she said walking away from Lila who was smirking as she left.

Lila POV

just you wait Marinette...things are going to be a whole lot worse than this

Marinette POV

ugh! Lila is such a pest!

"hey, Marinette!" i turned around only to see Chloe on her special table she sat at every day. it was set up all nice and everything. it was nice but...a bit much since it's only lunch...in school.

"h-hey Chloe" i greeted as i sat down. suddenly a plate was placed in front of me by one of her butlers. fried chicken, fries and a caesar salad. it smelt really good. Chloe was already eating like a princess with her knife and fork.

"what are you waiting for. eat up. you're the first person I've done this with so you'd better make the most of it" she demanded.

i mean i did already have my own lunch but this looked just as good. I'll just eat my own after school.

Later...

Chloe and Marinette were chatting until a group of the other kids she used to hang out with stormed over with a crying Lila who now had a cut on her arm. clearly fake though!

"Marinette! what the hell is wrong with you!?" Alya yelled at her 

"w-what do you mean? i haven't done anythi-" 

"oh cut the crap Marinette. you pushed Lila into the lockers and now she has a cut" Adrien snapped at her. Marinette just looked at them with a shocked and confused face. all of them were looking at her with angry faces

"she told us you confronted her and got angry at her for reporting all the bad things that you did, and now you hurt her again just cause she did the right thing!?" said Alix with her hands balled up.

"Listen, i haven't done anything to Lila, in fact, she's the one who came up to me earlier! and I've never abused Lila. can't you guys see it's a lie!" she yelled at them. suddenly a slapping noise was heard. it was like it echoed around the courtyard.

"Marinette was on her knees holding her cheek. Chloe rushed to her side checking on her and glared up at the others

"are you guys fucking kidding me!? Alya you were meant to be her best friend and now you've gone and slapped her? honestly, you guys are so stupid for believing this Brat and her lies!" she screamed and pushed Alya back
