I'm not actually alone

Chapter 7

"hey girl! how you doing?" Devany greeted with a hug which Marinette returned.

"i won't lie to you, today didn't go so great" she explained what happened and Devany looked like she was going to blow. 

"y'know what, i can't wait for reality to hit those fools you used to call friends." she said

"well. at least i have you guys" Marinette said

"damn right you do. you won't have to worry about me turning on you. i never thought that Lila girl was who she says she is. now let's go. the others are at the park" she said before practically dragging Marinette with her.

Lila POV

"ugh!" I groaned as I scrubbed the fake bruised off her arm.

"why is that Luka guy always on Marinette's side? hmm...i'd have to think of something awful to get him to turn against her but what? 

Back with the others

"personally if i were you, i would knock their teeth in" said Chase. Marinette shook her head. "that wouldn't be the right thing to do and-" before she could finish her sentence a loud crash followed by screams were heard from a distance.

"seriously!? those stupid Akumas always come at the worst time!" Chloe complained. Marinette needed to get to a place to hide and transform. before she could though Devany grabbed her hand. "hey where are you going? we gotta hide" she asked

"Devany it's ok. she's going to get Ladybug an alert her" Luka told her

"for real?" she questioned

"yeah. she did it when my Mother was akumatized" he replied. Devany sighed and let go of Marinette's hand. "be safe" was all she said before running off into the opposite direction with the others. 

Marinette quickly ran to an empty ally and transformed. she then made her way to try and find the akuma. when she did Chat Noir was already there.

"hello there m'lady" he greeted.

"hey chat. whats going on?" Ladybug asked

"well seems like a young girl has been akumatized. looking like a princess and she's taken over the Mayor's place claiming it to be her castle. seems like she's also zapped some people to be her loyal subjects"

"what the- ok let's just take out this akuma"

later

"well glad that's over. i'm gonna go now"

"hey wait" Chat Noir started. Ladybug turned to face him to listen to what he had to say. "what's the rush? you seem to be doing this a lot and you haven't been on night patrol for a while too. is everything alright?" he asked eyes full of concern

"why wouldn't i be ok?" was all she said

"i can tell your lying bugaboo" he said taking a step closer to her"

"it's none of your business Chat Noir. you wouldn't understand anyway" she said turning away from him

"well i can't understand if you won't tell me what's up" Ladybug finally turned to him looking frustrated. "you wouldn't know what it's like for people to turn against you. you wouldn't know what it's like for people to hate you for stuff that you never did...would you?" she snapped. Chat Noir seemed quite shocked at the outburst.. but before he could say anything Ladybug was already gone.

Adrien POV

"i don't get it. Ladybug is literally the loveliest person in the world. what could she have possibly done to make people hate her?" i asked myself.

"she did say that she was accused of things that she didn't do" Plagg replied.

"damn. i wish i knew who she was in civilian form so i could really help m'lady out"

"i don't see that happening anytime soon" Plagg mumbled. 

MEANWHILE...

"Marinette landed in her room and detransformed.

"well that akuma wasn't so bad. the things people get akumatized for" Marinette said shaking her head.

"aren't you going to go and meet your friends again?"  Tikki asked

"i would but i'm tired. i just wanna chill a bit before dinner" Marinette replied as she gave Tikki a cookie. what the two didn't notice was that someone heard and juts saw everything.

Luka POV

holy crap! Marinette's Ladybug? i had my suspicions but never thought about it much. i don't think that it's a good idea to go in there at the moment. i just wanted to check if she was ok but it seems like she's alright...screw it

Marinette POV

knock knock knock

"tikki hide" i whispered. she did exactly that and i told whoever it was to come up. and to my surprise, it was Luka.

"Hey Marinette. you alright?" he asked

"yeah. Ladybug brought me back home when i found her" i said. he seemed to believe me so i just left it at that. i really hate lying to Luka of all people but this is to hide my identity.

"good to know. i came to check if you were. the others went home after all that" he said to me as he came to sit next to me on my bed. i just smiled at him but i could feel myself that it was a sad one.

"your not thinking about them again are you?" he asked

"and what if i am?" i replied.

"Marinette" he held my hand in his and this caused me to blush. "i know that you may feel alone because of everything that's going on but just know that me and the others will be here. and no matter what happens or what i'm told by someone, i'll never leave you."

"never?" i asked this tome looking him in the eye

"never" and after he said that he kissed me. i couldn't help but kiss back. this was a genuine kiss. not because he was dared to but because he felt the need to. i think...i think I've fallen for Luka.
