Chapter 10

"so. care to explain to me what on earth happened down there...and the state that your in Lila?" Mr. Damocles asked them. before Marinette could even open her mouth to speak Lila broke down crying. fake obviously.

"Oh Mr Damocles! I-It was awful. i was attacked by one of Marinette's friends. s-she sent an awful message to her making it look like i-it was m-me, and then she sent her to beat me up!" she cried between sobs. Marinette looked at her with a shocked look. that was such a fat lie!

"is this true Marinette?" Mr Damocles

"w-what? no! no of course it's not true" she replied. he sighed.

"well, i have a hard time believing you Marinette. with all the reports that I've had from you that also involve Lila-"

"reports? you've been getting reports about me? oh of course you have! well if you have been getting reports about all this crap! why haven't you called me over then!?" Marinette asked, voice raising.

"i suggest you mind your tone young Lady! I've been given visual proof of your rebellious acts. I've been trying to look past it as your a good student around here, but your behaviour is leading e to believe all this. i'm sorry Marinette, but you are excluded for two weeks!" this caused Marinette to stumble back in shock.

"s-sir..b-but-"

"no buts! i'll be informing your parents immediately. you need to leave the school right now and hopefully you'll take this time to think about what you have done!"

Marinette couldn't argue anymore she just had to leave. as she did she could see Lila smirk as her from the corner of her eye and she mouthed "I won" this cause Marinette to slam the door behind her in fury as she left.

Lila POV

hmph! seems like my plan went a lot better than i thought. now Marinette is gone i can have everyone else, especially Adrien to myself without her getting in the way. i'm a genius!

WHEN MARINETTE ARRIVED HOME

when Marinette entered the Bakery her parents looked confused. technically this wasn't a first they'd seen her come home but since she was so early back home they saw her facial expression they felt like they should ask.

"sweetie what are you doing home? lessons haven't even started yet?" Sabine asked. 

"well i won't be attending those lessons for the nest two weeks" she replied. her parents looked at her with confused looks. Marinette sighed. "i got excluded" they gasped

"excluded!?" Sabine exclaimed

"now what was my little girl excluded for?" Tom asked folding his arms.

"i didn't do anything. it was due to false accusations" she replied.

"it was that Lila girl again wasn't it? she got you into this mess. what did she do. i'll call the school and-" Marinette had to cut her mother off. 

"i get that your trying to help maman but there is nothing you really can do. the decision is final. besides...maybe it's better this way for now. it's not like anyone other than Chloe will miss  me anyway" she replied with a softer tone. her parents just hugged their daughter and that's when Marinette began to cry. she never really deserved any of this at all.

"i-i'm gonna go to my room for a bit. i'll come down later to help" she sniffed.

"ok. but only come down to help if you feel like it. we won't force you to come down ok?" Sabine whispered softly. Marinette nodded giving her a sad smile and went up to her room.

IN MARI'S ROOM

Marinette placed down her bag on her desk and threw herself onto her bed. the tears never stopped falling and she couldn't even be bothered to try and make them stop.

"Marinette?" Tikki called softly landing next to the girls face. Marinette just stared at her for a moment before turning away from her. she didn't want Tikki to see her like this.

"Marinette please don't cry. w-what if you get-" she was cut of by Marinette

"what would it even matter Tikki?" she asked. "I...I can't do this anymore." Tikki was about to comment again but then she heard a flapping noise. an Akuma. she couldn't stop it. Marinette's feelings were all over the place and she couldn't stop Marinette from accepting Hawkmoth because of this. Tikki quickly watched to see where the butterfly would land. she expected it would be her earrings, but instead landed on the red flower crown she was wearing. that was unexpected but she had to rush to Master Fu right away. "don't worry Marinette. you will be saved" she thought as she quickly flew out the window.
