No one can understand youMore than you can
No one will know you
The way you know yourself
No one can love you
Unless you love yourself
The world can guess who you are
But never really know the truth
We all have two reflections
One that the world sees
Another that only you see
There is a stranger within us
When the stranger speaks it's unfamiliar where such words appear
When the stranger hugs, it's numb
When the stranger stares, it's colorless
Yet no matter how problematic her life is
Everyone seems to believe she is alright
She smiles through her tears
She laughs through her screams
But the stranger inside her always won
For her reflection that she perceives to the world
Is a mask within a mask
Everyone knew of the stranger, but not the mask within
As she smiles, laughs, and lies
Her reflection fades as her stranger takes over
But by the time people saw beneath the mask
The stranger won the final battle
