Meranda was dressed in a pretty teal dress and white heels. She arrived at The SeaSide Angler at five-thirty. She was super excited to meet up with Kyth. She ordered herself a SideCar drink while she waited.
Kyth came up to the bar where Meranda was a few minutes before six rolled around. "You are stunning."
Meranda turned to him. Kyth was dressed in black dress pants with a button up white and black shirt. His black shoes looked brand new and his smile was perfect.
"The parrot and the snake have been spotted." Figg said as he walked past Paulie. Tonight they were looking out for Meranda.
Paulie was in the half-arc in the middle of the Angler playing cards with a few of his friends. Those three friends were there too for support even though they didn't know Meranda well.
Figg walked to the right corner and sat down. He picked up Moby Dick and read a page or two. He looked up every few pages to check on Meranda and Kyth.
Meranda was smiling, talking and having a good time getting to know Kyth. It wasn't long before they were leaning into each other and casually holding hands.
Paulie was the one that saw Meranda go in for the first kiss. His heart sank for his friend Mikey. He knew how much he liked the girl.

Figg looked up from the book a minute later and saw them kissing too. His face soured and his stomach churned, making a noise. "Mikey is a better match than that rich jerk." Yeah, Figg knew of Kyth. They had grown up near each other. They'd been friends once before Kyth's family got rich from trading goods with The Kingdom of Snows and The people of the Meadowlands.
He also knew he wasn't a stayer. Kyth liked to date around and not stick to one girl. Figg had not said a word to anyone about this at all. It would stir up too much unwanted drama. Plus Meranda needed to figure it out on her own too. She was a grown woman. Still Figg and Paulie watched as her and Kyth flirted and kissed.
Kyth ordered them some fries with ranch dip and ketchup.
About ten minutes later Kyth suggested they go somewhere else.
"I'd love to go dancing." Meranda said, getting up.
Kyth took her hand. "Let's go."
As soon as Meranda's back was turned Figg ran over to Paulie. "Should I follow them?"
"Duke, would you go?" Paulie asked his red-bearded friend.
Duke nodded. "Sure." He got up. He was a very tall guy at 6'3" in height.

Duke looked around for the couple. He saw them turn left going into town. He waited at the corner until they were a good distance away. Then Duke walked, watching them closely. He saw Meranda raise her left arm and point to the left. They went a street down that street.
Duke knew where they were headed. He heard the music coming from the popular club.
"Did you see where Duke went?" Paulie asked Figg outside.
Figg had to think where would they go at this hour? Then it hit him. What did those mermaid's love more than swimming? Dancing! "I'm like 99.9% sure they went to SeaCrush."
Paulie and Figg lingered behind and let Duke do the spying.
"Hey, babe, come over here for a minute." Kyth said, pulling her out line.
