Marista had let Amara and Meranda join her and the happy couple at dinner. She thought it would be less stress for Marika.

"I hope you're enjoying the food." Marista said as they ate.

"It's wonderful." Jordan said with a big smile.

"As you know the news of the baby did not make me happy at first." Marista told the table.

"I want a baby." Meranda said mostly to herself.

Jordan was sitting by her as she sat at the head of the table. "Why?" He asked.

Meranda put her fork down. "I want someone to love me unconditionally."

"Mikey is in love with you."

Meranda laughed. "No he's not, Jordan. He's in love with the idea of dating a princess."

Amara and Marika laughed.

"When you're not around he asks where you are or how you are." Marika said to her sister. "He genuinely cares about you."

"And just because he cares doesn't mean he loves me." She started. "He's  . . . he's,"

"A pirate." Amara finished. "Geez get over it. These guy's have thus far proven they're good people." With a shake of her head she said, "I'm surprised you haven't asked for his little swimmers."

Meranda sat back in her chair. Hmm . . . now that was an idea.

"What did you do, Amara?" Marika said seeing a smile spread across Meranda's face. "You just had to give her a hopeful idea."

Jordan laughed to himself. "Did you just tell your sister to ask for my friends sperm?"

Marista paled. "Do NOT ask that boy that!" She yelled at Meranda. "It's one thing to fancy the idea. How much do you really know about his background? How he was raised and just in general."

Marika put a hand over her face. "Mom, she's gonna do it no matter what we say." She then spoke directly to Meranda. "Mikey loves you, but you can only push him so far. You keep telling him no and keep dating horrible people. He's likely gonna be bitter about this."

Meranda swallowed a bite of her mashed potatoes. "I can talk him into it."

The way Jordan now looked at Meranda was new. He'd never heard a devious note ever in her voice until now. "Excuse me. If you do anything to hurt or screw Mikey over I'll . . ."

Marika grabbed his arm. "Jordan, stop it. Meranda leave Michael alone."

"I can order his presence here if I wish to." She said, taking that route next.

"And this is partly why mother wanted only Jordan and I here." Marika said to her.

Meranda gave her a nasty look. "Fine." She stood up, went to slap some more food on her plate and took off to another room. She stopped walking and turned around. Going down the long hallway she then knocked on Mermista's bedroom door. "Let me in."

Mermista was reading but marked her page and went to answer the door. "You're not suppose to be here."

"Whatever." Meranda said and pushed her way into the room. "I hope you're hungry."

Mermista blushed. "I finished my ice cream in under five minutes. I'm good for now." Her tummy was not very happy with her right now.

Meranda put the food on the desk in the room and went to sit on the bed. "I'm an awful person."
