"I'll be happy when I can jam out a little bit." Mermista said.
I grabbed her right hand and spun her around.
"Oh!" Mermista cried out and she was pressed up against me.
"We can dance to anything." I told her and winked.
"Mr. Hawk." She smiled up at me. "You might get lucky later." She kissed my cheek and went inside.
There were stairs that lead down into the main part. It was very crowded and loud. There were round tables for the guests and were numbered too.
"We're at table thirteen." Mermista said to those that could hear her.
Paulie had just entered and Mr. MaGee had asked for his name. He didn't find Paulie's name of course.
"Are you with someone?" Mr. MaGee asked.
"Marista of Salineas." Paulie answered, praying she'd be happy to see him.
"Francine, please call Marista to the desk." Mr. MaGee said.

Marista heard her name. Her expression was of confusion. "What do they need me for?"
"Go find out!" Marika said with a revealing smile.
"What's going on?" Marista asked angrily.
"Just go to the desk, Mom, please." Amara said, the other had told her only twenty minutes ago about Paulie.
Marista left as the others gathered to talk.
"Should we spy on them?" Amara asked quickly.
"We really should let them have their moment." Meranda said, but wanted to spy with her sister too.
Marista walked down the stairs and into view in her plum lace sleeved and ruched twist gown with matching shoes. Her hair was up in an elegant twist with a butterfly accent piece.
Paulie was facing toward the other wall and didn't see her. He heard her speak to Mr. MaGee.
"Hi, did you need me for something?" She said to the man.
Mr. MaGee nodded. "This gentleman said he's with you tonight." He pointed to Paulie.

Paulie turned around. He was wearing a dark sky gray suit with a pale powder white shirt.
Marista wasshell shocked to see him. and pleasantly so too. She watched him walk over to her.
"It's so nice to see you and you look absolutely amazing." He said and she felt her heart flutter.
All she could do was look into his eyes. She was at a loss to speak at the moment.
"Marista, is he with you?" Mr. MaGee's voice interrupted.
She nodded. "Yes." She then turned, "Please add his name beside mine."
Paulie went over to the desk and gave his name again. When he was done he came back over to her. He held out his arm for her to take.
Marista smiled, her cheeks glowing in happiness. "Let's take a right over here we need to talk."
They went right and there were arrows on the walls listing room numbers with activities on them.
"Who put you up to this?" She said, letting his arm go. Her smile was fading now.
Paulie answered, "I was encouraged to come by Marika and Mermista." He told her first. "And I decided I wanted to see you again. I'm falling for you, Marista. Really hard and really fast."
