Shinobu x Giyuu x Reader

You have been a friend of Giyuu, ever since training with Urokodaki.

When both of you lost Sabito, both of you were so upset, though, it seemed like Giyuu was more upset to lose him than you.

You always felt bad and pitiful about Giyuu, he's lost his sister and now best friend.

You were the only one he had left.

But then, fast forward, you and Giyuu are the two water pillars.

Because of that, you've met the other pillars, Kanroji, Iguro, Tokito, Shinazugawa, Himejima, Rengoku, Uzui and finally, Kocho.

You never really liked Kocho Shinobu.

Partly because of how she bullies Giyuu, and mostly because Giyuu's been paying attention to her more than you. There are also other factors, like how she's talking to Giyuu more and more and to the point that while you're talking to him, she waves smiling her trademark creepy smile and calls Giyuu over, and they leave the area together to who-knows-where.

You didn't harbor any romantic feelings toward Giyuu, but you definitely don't like it when your best friend is taken away by some random girl who happens to be a pillar like you guys.

But, on one particular day, something happened.

"Yoohoo!" Shinobu calls out to you and Giyuu, despite both of you talking.

Giyuu gives Shinobu a stare, and excuses himself to go up to her. They seem to talk, but you can't hear them. You can only see Shinobu's mouth moving and Giyuu's back faced towards you.

Then, they leave, as usual.

But, you were fed up with Giyuu being stolen away from you by Shinobu for what seemed like the millionth time, and decide that you HAD to go figure out what they talk about behind your back.

Sneakily tiptoeing, you arrive at the Butterfly Mansion, and hide behind a wall closest to them.

"Giyuu, I pity you. Why do you hang out with Y/N so much? Are you that terribly lonely that you have to hang out with one person? You can hang out with me if you want!" Shinobu gladly exclaims, her hands clasped together and her eyes shining like the beautiful view of the stars at midnight.

"Kocho-san. I know you want to get close to me, but Y/N already is. I don't want to care for more people because if I lose Y/N too then I'd rather be alone than see all my friends die. Not you, too." Giyuu says, in a quiet voice.

"Oh, my!" She exclaims, eyes widening. "Then what would you do if I told you I like you, that's why I want to be close to you!" Shinobu smiles, face inching close to Giyuu's.

It took you a few moments to process Shinobu's statement. And so did Giyuu.

"You... like me?" Giyuu asks in disbelief.

"Yes, I like you!" She responds. "And I don't like seeing you so close with Y/N. You might like her too much if you do."

"Shinobu."

"Yes?"

"It's too late for that now. I think... I like Y/N." Giyuu says, facing to the side, head lowered.

Now, it was Giyuu's statement you couldn't  process.

Giyuu likes you? Since when? Was it when Sabito died? Was it when Shinobu came into your lives?

"Oh. That's a shame." Shinobu's signature smiles disappears into a frown. It's the first time you've seen her without it.

She glances over to your direction and once you realize that, you hide behind the wall, contemplating whether to make a run for it or not.

"Y/N! Fancy seeing you here!" Shinobu smiles at you, and you flinch. You look at her. "Yeah, haha. I was just passing by, have you seen Tsuyuri-chan?" You make a flimsy excuse. "Oh, you were looking for Kanao?" Shinobu stares at you, and it feels like she doesn't believe you. "Yeah. I wanted to talk to her."

"About what?" She inquires.

"About... uh... What she thinks of Tanjiro?" You smile dumbly. "Kanao is just in the back garden." Shinobu smiles. "Go along now."

"Alright." You go to the back garden, seeing Kanao with the butterflies.

You still weren't sure if Shinobu figured you out of believed you. Neither did you know if Giyuu knew you were eavesdropping.

"I like you." Giyuu bluntly says with his deadpan face.

You guys didn't even start a conversation. He just called you over and said that to you while you were talking to Tanjiro.

It didn't really faze you. But you didn't know how to respond to Giyuu.

Should you like him back? The choice is on you.
