You were a very stoic, and quiet person. Never in your life would you initiate a conversation unless absolutely needed.

After passing the Final Selection, you became friends with Tanjiro and the others, though you were close with Genya than the rest. Tanjiro thought you two could be best friends. And, he was right.

Thanks to Genya, you met his brother, Shinazugawa Sanemi. The wind hashira.

You had to admit, you weren't attracted to him much but the more you interacted with him, the more you realized that maybe he's a good and caring guy.

One time you guys had to feed the dogs at a village somewhere on your break time. You fed the dogs an equal amount of dog food on their wooden bowl.

While Sanemi, was smiling patting the dogs.

You had to admit, he looked cute admiring the dogs, rubbing their fur softly.

You fell for him without realizing it.

You weren't sure if he liked you back though you knew he had a soft spot for you.

You weren't bothered by that fact. You were happy, sure, but you always kept yur stoic, emotionless face.

Sanemi looks over to you. "Y/N are you done feeding the dogs over there? Wanna pat these ones over here? They're friendly."

He's in a good mood today.

Normally he would lash out to everyone and sometimes including you, but it didn't bother you. You knew he secretly cared, you knew about his past and how much he's lost, so you understood why he was the way he is.

He distanced himself from you a while but now he's back to his usual self.

I guess he's in a good mood because of his soft spot for the dogs.

You kept staring at his smile, the way he patted and rubbed the dog's fur. He was mesmerizing.

"Y/N, quit staring if you really want to pet the dogs then come pet them." Sanemi says, with his deadpan face.

You stare at him, stiffling out the smile you wanted to release. You come over to him, sit beside him, and pet the dogs.

"Hey, I'm curious. Why are you always so quiet and have such an emotionless face?" Sanemi asked you.

You hummed. "Maybe it's because I was raised to be this way. My parents didn't like me showing emotions. I was the only child." You said, seriously and with a frown.

That's the most Sanemi has ever seen emotion on your face. And he knew it had to be a depressing thing for you to express emotion that way.

He didn't know how to comfort you. He stared at you, then back to the dogs, then back at you.

"Hey, it's okay Y/N. I'm sure your parents had a reason to, and if it was shitty then I guess you don't deserve your parents." Sanemi says, eyes darting away from you. His back faces you, he doesn't know how else to comfort you.

You nod. "There she goes again nodding. I wish they'd say something more than what you said a while ago." Sanemi thought.

"Hey, is it normal to feel my heart beat for someone?" You ask. "It's the most emotion I've ever experienced and..." You pause.

"I'm scared that I have to disobey my parents just because I feel these 'useless' things called emotions as they call it."

"Y/N." Sanemi turns to you. "Emotions are necessary to live for." He says, with a serious expression. "You don't know how mad I am at demons, and that's why I still survive as a hashira. All because of my driven emotions." He says.

You hum, nodding. "Is there anyone you like right now?" Sanemi asked, which caught you off guard.

"Yes."

"Who?"

"It's you." You smile at him.

And just then the wind blew and the dogs barked. You stare at the trees and the surroundings, not expecting an answer.

"Y/N." Sanemi says, a serious and cool tone. "I like you too, it's just that I'm afraid to lose you too."

You smile at him. "It's okay. You won't lose me."

And that was the day you expressed more emotion, and started talking more.

I'm sososo sorry if it's too short or if anyone is out of character, I really tried to catch Sanemi's personality even though I suck at stuff like those.
