Inosuke had been pretty fond of Aoi Kanzaki. No idea why though, but it all started when Shinobu paired those two up to cook dinner together for Tanjiro and Zenitsu.

It was another day, and Shinobu, of course, paired those two up. Aoi didn't mind being paired up with Inosuke, though Inosuke didn't like being paired up with a girl and doing girly chores made for girls.

He would shout in the kitchen that would be heard from the dining area and even Nezuko woke up from Inosuke's screaming.

But, this time Inosuke was quiet.

"Hey, why don't you have your mask on today? And, after the talk with Shinobu, why are you so quiet now?"

"Later, twintails. Let's get to work!" He lets out his boar screech and Tanjiro audibly sighs from the dining area.

"Alright, they wanted ramen, get the lettuce eggs, onion and..." Aoi paused. "What else did they wanted? Maybe carrots. Or broccoli."

"Did I hear broccoli?" Inosuke says. "How about put some grass! I'm pretty sure I ate those as a kid!"

"No, you don't put grass, where did you grow up in? Zenitsu said you're bad with girls."

That seemed to shut poor Inosuke up.

"Strange." Aoi thought. "Normally he would rebut me and shout or screech."

They continued on cooking and while Inosuke was cutting the carrots wrong, Aoi was there to guide him.

"You're supposed to cut it like this, not the way where you tried to hit a rock on your sword. But hey, you cut it correctly though! I'm impressed." Aoi smiled.

"Th-thanks Aoi..." The wild boar blushed, it was a sight to see in a while.

Aoi's softened eyebrows turned back to their usual, looking mad as she tries to cover up her blush.

"But..." Inosuke prepares for the roar again, and finally screeches. "I will do it my way anyway!" He shouts, quickly cutting the vegetables and somehow doing it correctly.

Aoi giggles at him, then went back to cooking.

Suddenly, a hand grabs Aoi's wrist. "What?" She asks. "You're stirring it wrong dumbass!" He says and stirs the ramen exactly the same way Aoi stirred it.

"Shinobu taught me this so I'm sure it's right." He smiles widely.

"Yeah exactly that's the way I stirred it." Aoi said.

"Dumbass, I tried to hold your hand because I like you! Shinobu told me that I feel love towards you!"

And, that's what threw off Aoi.

Meanwhile, Zenitsu and Tanjiro are also thrown off in the dining area, while Shinobu is just smiling.

"You- what? How? I'm not as strong as you three and I just stay at the Butterfly Mansion tending to sick people." Aoi's eyes darted to the floor as she continued, "Plus, you don't seem like the type to like girls anyway."

"Well you're the only girl I like, moron! Do I look like I'd like any other girls!?" He shouts.

Shinobu heads in the room.

"Hey, is dinner ready? Also, We'll have a talk later, Inosuke." Shinobu winks.

Yep, he's gonna ask about what to do after confessing, as Shinobu said she'll guide the poor hopeless boy in romance.

"Ah, right!" Aoi quickly turns away, turning off the stove and flipping the egg.

Inosuke remained silent.

Dinner was served after that.
