Epilogue

            I stood in the garden listening to the squealing laughter of my children. Randy and Lynx, along with their mates, took over the leadership of Hell’s Fury pack. They came to visit Tommy and me every year. Last year, Kennis told me that her and my father was expecting twin pups. I was surprised, but very happy for them.

            Placing my hand over my stomach, I smile. Tommy and I had four of the most beautiful children any parent could ask for. And before long, we would have another. Though, I have yet to inform him of the newest arrival, since I just found out myself this morning. Our first born was a girl. Hearing someone behind me, I clear my thoughts. Soon, Tommy is wrapping his arms around me. Pulling me into his chest, he gives me a hug. I sigh softly and rest my head on his chest.

            As we watch our children, I hear him chuckle. “We’ve did good Mari.” I smile at him and turn around. Placing a kiss on his cheek, I start walking towards the castle. Whispering just loud enough for him to hear, I tell him. “And we’re not finished yet Tommy. There’s another coming soon.” It took him exactly five seconds to understand my meaning.

            Tommy picks me up and hugs me. “Are you sure Mari?”

            “I found out this morning.” I look in his eyes. “Are you happy with the news?”

            “Of course Mari, I am. Your happiness and the happiness of our pups is what matters most to me and you know that. Our pups are special, love. They represent the love that we share for each other.” With that he places a soft tender kiss on my lips before running away. I laugh as I watch our children chase after their father. Shouts of “There he goes” and “Don’t let him get away” fill the air. Tommy and I have done well indeed.
