Ink waved goodbye to Blue as he entered the park.

"Get back before dinner Ink!" He called as he began to jog, something he couldn't do with Ink's lack of athleticism.

"Yeah, yeah!" Ink called back, walking towards his favourite tree, which overlooked the rest of the park. Sitting down and making himself comfortable, he pulled out his equipment and silently thanked the atheist gods that there was no wind. He looked around for a few moments, studying the surrounding landscape before fixing upon the view of the duck pond near the middle of the park. His hands moving in response to his vision, he soon lost himself in his drawing.

Blue jogged along, waving hello to anyone who happened to pass by him. He slowed down as he reached a cake store, his mouth watering. There was nothing better, in his opinion, than cake. He jolted out of his reverie as someone bumped into him.

"Sorry," he said, immediately moving out of the way. The girl he'd bumped into looked up at him and smiled in amusement through her grey hoodie.

"People are so silly," she said. "Why say sorry when I bumped into you? What are you sorry for? Sorry for being in your way? Sorry for existing in the spot you happened to be also headed for? Sorry for not realising your mistake before it happened?" Blue frowned at her.

"I guess I'm sorry for stopping in the middle of the walkway," he answered. Finally grinning, he held out his hand. "My name's Blue. What's yours?" The girl's hoodie slipped back as she looked at him, revealing more of her face. She had dusty grey hair pulled into a ponytail and heterochromatic eyes.  One eye was a bright red, the other was blue and red. Every now and then the colours would shift and mix together, making them seem almost purple. She giggled.

"Hmm, not sure if I wanna give you my name," she said. "But you're staring at me so I suppose I have to." Blue laughed and scratched the back of his head.

"Oh no if you don't wanna say that's ok. I'm only staring cause you're so beautiful." Her cheeks dusted pink and her mouth dropped open slightly in surprise, her childish grin dropping from her face. Blue, completely ignorant to her reaction, raised a hand in goodbye and began his jog again. "Bye! Have a nice day!"

Ink took a deep breath as he pulled himself out of his drawing stupor. The drawing was only half done but the sun had dropped significantly in the sky and Blue had definitely already begun making tacos. Sighing and closing his eyes he leant his head against the tree so his face was facing up. There was a rustle and Ink opened his eyes, frowning.

"Hello?" He asked.

"Right in front of you," a voice answered. Ink jumped and looked in front of him where a girl, who'd definitely not been there before, was comfortably sitting, smirking. It didn't take Ink long to realise she had his art book and he snatched it back. The girl looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Well, there's no need to be rude." She was a strange looking girl with black hair tied up in a loose ponytail and uneven blue and yellow eyes. Even stranger was her face, she had paint-like tear tracks running down it which appeared to be part of her skin. Ink shook away the urge to stare and focused on the unforgivable sin of stealing an artist's art book.

"Says the stranger who just made a noise, teleported right in front of me and stole my art book," Ink retorted. The girl flipped her ponytail back and chuckled at him.

"They are some beautiful drawings." Ink snarled and looked down at his art book to make sure nothing had happened to it. When he looked up he found the girl gone and thought she'd left him alone until he heard her say. "Did you think I stole something?" He looked around to find her swinging from the lowest branch of the tree, upside down. Noticing her shirt was being pulled down by gravity, Ink quickly looked away.

"Yes," Ink answered angrily, glaring pointedly away from her. "My art book."

"You need to chill. If I'd wanted to steal your art book I would've done it in the four hours I've been watching you draw."

"Four hours?!" Ink exclaimed, looking back at her, forgetting why he'd looked away in the first place.

"I was in the tree first."

"Forgive me for being creeped out by being watched for four hours."

"You're forgiven." Ink bit his lip and made a noise of anger and irritation.

"I've only known you for five minutes and I already hate you."

"That's fair." Still angry but not able to help himself Ink blurted out.

"And can you please sit normally? Your shirt is basically falling off and it's very distracting!" The girl stared at him, caught off guard, then burst out laughing. Ink stared at her as tears of laughter formed in her eyes. She fell gracefully off the branch, catching herself before she face planted. She crossed her legs under her and grinned, still giggling into her hand.

"Better?" She asked. Ink, catching himself smiling back at her, turned away and huffed.

"Yes." There was the sound of a phone buzzing and Ink could see from the corner of his eye the girl pull out a phone. Ink jumped as his own phone buzzed and he looked down to see that Blue had texted him.

B: Wake uppp Innnnnnnk! Dinner's ready!

Ink smiled and looked up to look for the girl only to find her gone. He looked around for a few minutes but she was well and truly gone. He shrugged and began making his way home, texting Blue as he went.

I: Yeah yeah I'm coming.
