The door to the shop slid open and three women wearing masks and hoodies stepped inside. The shopowner's heart began racing as he caught sight of them standing menacingly at the one entrance to the small building, shoulder to shoulder, side by side. One was wearing her hoodie up over her head, her purple eyes glowing through her smiling mask and dusty grey hair peeked out from under the hood. Beside her was another woman with white hair with grey roots. She had a half mask that covered the entire left half of her face except her eye which was a blood red. The fluff around her hood was grey and stuck together in strange places by what he feared was blood. Beside her was a woman with hair the lightest grey of them all, almost white. Her mask was a pure white with black eyeholes that bled black paint. The shopowner gulped and backed up towards his panic button. Something sharp cut into his throat and he froze.

"You blinked," A feminine voice whispered in his ear. He gulped and noticed two of the women had moved forward and one was gone. The woman with purple eyes leaned over the counter, shoving her face in his.

"You're white as death mister, are you ok?" She asked in a mocking, childish voice. He opened his mouth but no words came out. "That look on his face is killer, amiright Horror." The woman with a half-mask frowned.

"Shut it," She growled. "Just kill him. He's making me hungry." The first woman looked back at her desperately.

"Come on that's no fun!" She whined. "Let's kidnap and torture him."

"We have a job to do," the woman standing behind him said. "So let's finish it. You two can grab the supplies, I'll deal with this. Since Dust told him out names we'll have to kill him." The shopowner felt his throat tightened and his mouth go dry.

"Kill?" He wondered.

"Aw that's no fun Killer. He looks like the type to squeal!" Dust said, enthusiastically making a strangling motion with her hands.

"Just kill him," Horror said, her eyes closed and her mouth twitching. "He's making me hungry."

"What the hell is wrong with these women?" The shopkeeper's screamed inwardly.

"Look at that, his pulse is racing," the woman behind him muttered emotionlessly. Dust giggled.

"You know he's scared so he'll bleed out quicker. You better kill him while he's afraid," she said. Horror growled and walked around the counter.

"Just kill him," she muttered irritably. He felt Killer shrug.

"Whatever." There was a sharp pain at his neck then nothing.

Dream walked into the living room to find it covered in abandoned drawings and dried out paint. Ink lay in the middle of it, his messy hair covered in spots of paint and the ever-present black ink on his chin spreading to his mouth where a line of drool was falling. Snickering, Dream made himself, Blue and Ink a coffee and skipped with all due care back to the living room where Ink was coming to.

"Morning," He mumbled, pushing himself up off the apartment floor and wiping his chin with the back of his hand. Dream handed him the coffee. Ink took it gratefully and gave a big yawn. "Do I have work today?"

"Nope," Dream answered. "But I do. I'm just gonna finish the coffee then I'll be off. Tell Blue the last one's his when he calms down." Ink looked at him with wide eyes, the ink and paint on his face making him look almost comical.

"Please tell me it's decaf," He said.

"It is but he doesn't have to know that." Ink nodded and Dream put his mug down as he finished.

"I'll clean that up," Ink promised, apparently reading his mind. Dream nodded and smiled in thanks and left the apartment, waving hello to their neighbours as he walked past.

"We're sorry Nightmare," Dust said. "We were only having a bit of fun." Horror snorted.

"You told him our names Dust," Nightmare growled. "You call forcing us to leave a corpse behind fun?"

"We were probably going to kill him anyway!"

"She has a point," Killer agreed passively. "We were probably going to kill him but it did mean we had to spend more time in the shop than usual."

"Don't act like you weren't having fun miss 'you blinked'!" Killer looked at her impassively.

"I wasn't."

"You shouldn't have taken so long to kill him after Dust told him our names," Horror pointed out. "It was extremely irritating to watch."

"I was simply waiting for you two to stop messing around."

"Shut up all of you!" Nightmare pulled herself out of the shadows and glared at them. "I don't care what you do as long as you stay out of sight, get what we need and don't bring back unnecessary burdens." She turned her piercing gaze to Dust as she said that. Dust pouted, playing with her mask.

"Horror's allowed to eat people," She mumbled.

"Only if I say she can." Horror sighed.

"How's Reaper?" She asked. "We haven't seen her since we got back."

"Still asleep," Nightmare sighed. "At this rate, we'll run out of supplies before she wakes up." Horror bit her lip. Dust stopped pouting to frown in worry. Only Killer remained inscrutable behind her mask.

"What about Error?" Killer asked. "Where's she?"

"Ran off again." Nightmare shrugged. "It's not that bad if she doesn't get caught."

"Then we better hope she doesn't get caught."

Ink sorted through his assortment of drawings from the night before, throwing out the ones he didn't like and keeping the ones he could work on. Blue sipped on his decaf coffee and pulled out his work. He often took home more work than anyone else; he could never keep still for long.

"Do you have work today Blue?" Ink asked.

"Nope," Blue answered. "I'm going to go on a run after I finish all this, do you wanna join me?"

"Sure, I'll stop at the park and do some rough sketches while I'm there." Ink held up a drawing of their view from the window, a pretty tree on the street. "Is this good?" He asked.

"I think all your drawings are good!" Blue answered cheerfully. Ink raised an eyebrow

"That does not help me." He turned the drawing to face him and bit his lip. "Hmmm..." Blue shrugged and finished his coffee in one gulp. "Imma keep it," Ink decided.

"When's Dream getting home?"Blue asked. Ink shrugged.

"Dunno, sometime around sunset, like always," he answered distractedly.

"Think he'll save any wayward souls?" Ink snorted.

"Like the prince in shiny armour he thinks he is?"

"Saving ladies left and right."

"Many beautiful damsels in distress." Ink and Blue burst out laughing.

"You'll never tell right?" Blue asked seriously. Ink shook his head. They both sighed and said.

"Dream would kill us."
