A/N. I am so so so so so so so so sorry I haven't updated in like two weeks. I went away for Christmas and had absolutely awful WiFi. I am so sorry. Here it finally is!

~*~*~*<Annabeth>*~*~*~

After I'd eaten breakfast and collected my timetable, Carter and I hurried to our first lesson of the year: Defence Against the Dark Arts. That sounded very promising and could definitely come in handy. I'd love to be able to fight monsters and things with magic, it could make my life so much easier. I was determined to make the most of this experience at Hogwarts.

When we finally arrived at the classroom, which was on the second floor, Carter and I found Percy, Jason and Sadie already sitting down right at the back of the class chatting. We walked over. I sat next to Percy, and Carter sat with Sadie. Jason was on his own. It's a shame that Piper wasn't in our class, since she was in Slytherin. We would have to meet up together as soon as possible to discuss our quest.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Percy pecking me on my cheek. I grinned.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked him.
He shrugged, "Not bad. Just normal dreams."
I cleared my throat. "Formalities," I muttered under my breath.
"Oh, right. Sorry," he said, not sounding very sorry, "I slept well, if you do not count the fact that I had the most vexatious of nightmares. Happy?"
"Not particularly. It is imperative that you take this more seriously! And where did you learn such a long word as vexatious?" I scolded him.

I felt an uncomfortable prickling feeling at the back of my neck. Someone was watching us. I turned in time to see some guy with black hair and round glasses quickly turn away from us. I immediately recognised him as Harry Potter, that rude boy with a big head we met at Flourish and Blotts. He was in deep conversation with two of the other kids we saw: the ginger boy and the bushy-haired girl. I wondered what they were talking about. Oh, wait. No I didn't. The glanced that they were stealing of the five of us were a bit of a give away. I decided to do something about it.

I noticed Percy looking in the same direction as me. We glanced at each other and nodded, the unspoken plan passing between us. We stood up at the same time and walked over to where the trio were sitting. They were so deep in discussion that they didn't notice that we were standing there until Percy cleared his throat. They all looked startled to see us.

"I believe that we didn't get off to the best starts when we first met. May we start over? I'm Princess Annabeth and this is Prince Percy. It's a pleasure to meet you," I introduced. I flashed my kindest smile and tried to look as unthreatening as possible. I had to admit, with the way there were staring at us, it was difficult. I curtsied and Percy held out his hand for them to shake.

The boys were both glowering at us, however the girl seemed to get over her surprise the quickest. I honestly don't get what the big deal was. When we first met, all that happened was Jason was arguing with some random idiot, then Harry interrupted, they started bragging about how they saved the world, and finally Percy told them to leave us alone and I have them a stern look. It wasn't even a proper glare! These people were such drama queens. Honestly!

The girl elbowed the ginger boy who stopped glowering at us like we had murdered his brother or something. Glasses was still looking murderous, however on a demigod glare factor from 1-10, his glare was a measly 2. Yes, we take glaring very seriously back at camp. The better your glare, the less likely it is that you'll find spiders in your bed courtesy of cabin eleven. I learnt the hard way. Glasses looked more funny than scary at the moment, and I could tell Percy was suppressing a laugh.

The girl smiled at us and introduced herself as Hermione Granger. She shook Percy's hand and curtsied back to me. I nodded and she looked impressed with herself, like she'd remembered how to act properly in front of royalty. Hermione discretely elbowed Ginger again, who stood up and followed Hermione's example but bowed instead of curtsied, thankfully. That would have gotten awkward. His name was Ron. Finally, Harry did the same, however he didn't look pleased about it.

After our introductions were over, the teachers came in soon afterwards. Percy and I hurried back to our table, both of us staying in character as we did so. We were in such a rush that we didn't recognise who had just walked in.

One of the teachers had started talking by the time that we had taken a seat. His voice was very familiar, "Alright then, class. Professor McGonagall has asked us to help out with classes and to help with your security following recent events. My name is Professor Zhang." Wait, what? My head snapped up and sure enough, Frank Zhang was standing talking. He hadn't noticed our little group at the back yet. Percy and Jason were also staring with equal shock on their faces. And guess who noticed. That's right: a certain trio of wizards who were sitting just a few steps away.

Frank was still talking. "This is Professor Bills, my assistant." A small girl with choppy black hair, much like Thalia's, was standing next to him. She looked about fifteen. "We are from America. A division of our... camp, I guess is the only was to describe it, will be staying here in the grounds of Hogwarts. We will be teaching certain classes, patrolling the grounds and corridors and just generally trying to help out as best we can. Any questions before we begin?"

Hermione's hand shot up. When Frank nodded at her she said, "Why you in particular? What's so special about this camp of yours? What's it all about?"
"Whoa there! Miss Granger, is it? One question at a time. For starters, Professor McGonagall went to our camp when she was younger. She is very familiar with the myself and my co-leader if the camp. She asked us for a favour, and we obliged. Second, our camp is quite unusual. We practice self defence all of the time. Everyone who goes is very experienced in combat. Finally, our mission is to continue the legacy of Ancient Rome. We follow their traditions and practice their fighting styles and worship their gods. Understand?" Frank replied. Hermione nodded. "Any more questions, or can we start?" he asked, "No? Good. Let me do the register."

He pulled a piece of paper of the desk and began reading out names.
"Terry Boot?"
"Yes sir."
"Mandy Brocklehurst?"
"Yes sir."
"Stephan Carnfoot?"
"Yes sir."
Frank faltered. "Princess Annabeth Chase?" he asked finally.
"Yes sir." He glanced over at me and saw Percy and Jason too. He sent me a questioning look and I mouthed 'talk later'. He nodded and tried to cover up his mistake with a cough. He read out the rest of the names and finally started the lesson.
