Assassins of Rainbow

Chapter 8

(1 Month later, Excalibur PoV)

I was called to Six's office, same with Anubis. Apparently my old 'CO' has requested some help. They have spotted a white mask base that is dangerously close to one of the Sentinel Outposts. And they are ready to move in but would like us to go in first to save any civilians there. As their safety cannot be secured once Sentinel moves in.

"You pick 5 operators to move in, then 3 operators to help Sentinel clear the building with you." Six explained. "Ash, Thatcher, Thermite, Zofia and Fuze for the infiltration. Blitz, Reaper and Doc to help Sentinel." I said, Six nodded.

"Ok, good. I'll get them ready. You leave tomorrow at noon." She said, we nodded and left the room. Walking back towards our Training. We were with Teshin and the Recruits making our abilities better.

(Time Skip, Next Day.)

I was ready at 11, Anubis was too. We were making sure that the chopper has been Fuelled and had all the equipment needed on it. as we were Talking Shuhrat had walked up with Eliza and Jordan. They were ready too and were waiting on the others, we could leave at anytime if we were all ready. Eliza didn't know that much about Sentinel, to be fair not many of the operators knew about our involvement. They knew we were apart of one, and had 'Left', but didn't know we are the leaders.

The other 5 had appeared and pilled onto the Helicopter. Shannon had gotten upfront and started the Chopper, whilst I sat back with the others, discussing plans. I was sat next to Shuhrat and after the plan was made, Shannon told us to get some shut eye, as it would be a long flight to Africa.

I woke up to a flash. It was Eliza taking a photo. Of me and Shuhrat? I realised my head was his shoulder and quickly lifted my head. Eliza giggled a bit and so did Jordan. I looked at them but due to my balaclava they couldn't see me smile at them. I could feel my face heat up a bit but I shrugged it off before moving upfront to Shannon.

"Hey Excalibur, they wake you up?" she asked, "Yeah, I'm fine with it though. Blinded me a bit but I don't really mind. We nearly there?" I asked, and on cue Eliza had walked up as we started getting a hail. This was Sentinels home base in Africa.

"[You are entering a restricted air space. Please turn around or you will be fired on.]" I heard a voice over the Comms, I couldn't tell who it was, and neither could Shannon.

I pressed a button on the Helicopter and plugged my headset in. I started typing on a Keyboard in the middle. "We are team rainbow, let us land or you will face the wrath of you Boss." I realised how much of a Karen I sounded like but I didn't really care. We heard a familiar voice on the Mic this time.

"[Bullying the newbie I see.]" we hear with a small laugh, "[Landing zone 3 is free, land there and Jeremy will be waiting.]"

We sent a quick thank you and landed in the base. "I was sort of hoping they would have fired, not tested the anti-missile on this chopper in a while." Shannon chuckled, before she asked Eliza to go in the back and wake the others up.

We opened the door and started getting off, however the Rainbow lot were instantly at gun point. Till me and Shannon got off, the veterans instantly told the newbies who hadn't seen me and Shannon to lower their weapons, then suddenly stood at attention. Shannon chuckled a bit before saying, "At ease, Where's Jeremy?"

"It's General Jeremy." One of the recruits said, then one of the veterans slapped him on the back of the head. "They are the bosses. You know, higher than General Jeremy." The Veteran said, I remembered his voice, Charlie. I walked up and shook his hand.

"It's been a while Charlie, not got anymore bullet holes since last time?" I asked, "No Ma'am, although I have put on training for a bit as I may or may not have blown up an IED. No-one but myself got hurt however." He said, I patted him on the shoulder before walking over to Jeremy.
