Chapter 14

(Excalibur PoV)

I woke up to a light shake, looking up to see a smiling Shuhrat. "Come on Megan, it's time to get up." He said in a smooth tone. I nodded before stretching a bit. Realising how cold it was and instantly regretting the decision. "It's pretty cold isn't it?" I said, "Ja, Although it could be colder." Monika answered. we eventually got up to brave the coldness before we started the day, I had too finish off that AI for the suit. It could work without it but it could definitely help.

(Time Skip)

I was sat in the workshop with Shuhrat and Marius. They were working with their respective gadgets whist I tried to code this AI. Halfway throughout the coding started running by itself, like it turned on. Soon the hologram projector next to me sputtered to life and we saw a small purple ball in the centre, Marius and Shuhrat walked around and looked at it.

"What just happened?" one of them asked, "I don't know, the code woke itself up." I answered before the ball disappeared and got replaced with a small figure. Curled up at the base of the Projector. I looked at it before it lifted it's head, seeming startled by us being here.

"Woah don't worry, we are not here to hurt you." I explained, the being calmed down a bit, "Do you have a name?" I asked, I watched as the code next to me started changing, the first line that came up said 'Name?' before changing to 'Name = Kaitlin'.

"Kaitlin, I like the name Kaitlin." It said, it was an innocent sounding feminine voice, it looked at us with it's eyes, they were wide, wondering what we were going to do to it. "Did you start the Program yourself?" I asked, it nodded. I smiled, "Welcome to the land of the living, Kaitlin. I am Megan Streicher, or Excalibur. This is Shuhrat Kessikbayev or Fuze. And my brother Marius Streicher." I introduced, she looked at them before smiling. "Which one of you created me?" she asked innocently, "I was in the middle of fine tuning your coding before you activated." I answered, she smiled at me and said, "Thank you. I'll go into standby so you can finish." She said, before disappearing.

"Well that was definitely something, you have created a sentient machine. Hopefully Skynet isn't born from this." Marius joked, I quickly hit him in the arm whilst smiling, then getting back to the coding.

(Time Skip)

It had been a month since Kaitlin appeared, I had finished her Coding and added a small holographic projector to my Suit. She hasn't been seen by many people, but I have been teacher her about the people we fight and the reasons behind it. she understands luckily. I have had one test run in the suit with her and it went off without a hitch. I was completely silent, had increased strength and movement speed. Which surprised the others. And the suit itself was really easy to take off.

And here's the kicker, I shot the AI housing unit with a tank, and then crushed it under a tank. No damage. It was water proof as well. Kaitlin wasn't in the Unit as I tested this but she said she feels safer now she knows it's literally explosive proof.

I had taken the suit off and walked towards my Dorm, wanting to take a shower. I had placed Kaitlin in the front with the rest of my armour. I was in the shower when I heard some muffled talking from outside, then a crash. Then some muffled shouting. I quickly dried and got dressed. Leaving the bathroom to see a recruit being held down by my suit, but it didn't have an operator in it. was Kaitlin operating the suit by herself?

Elena ran in after hearing the commotion and saw the confusing sight I was looking at, Elena hasn't seen Kaitlin before. The holographic projector activated showing Kaitlin on the Table. "Ma'am, this person was talking about murdering you, something about white masks and then pulled out a P12 with 3 bullets in the clip and 1 in the chamber." She explained, I was still confused, "Thank you Kaitlin, did you record this happening?" I asked, "Yes Ma'am." she answered.

I got the recruit out of the armours grasps and restrained him, "So you were sent by the White Masks?" I asked, "No I was sent by your previous Lord." He said, "So the Shadow organisation knows about us. Where are they stationed?" I asked, "I ain't telling you shit." He responded, "I'd rather die."

"That can be arranged. Reaper, can you grab Caviera and head towards the interrogation room. I'll bring this creature with me. Kaitlin, good job." I said, Elena ran out of the room to grab Taina whilst I quickly got my Armour on, then I took the Recruit to Interrogation, on the way I got Six on the Comms.

"[Madam director, Can you please head towards the Interrogation room, we have a traitor here.]" I said, "[Sure thing, I'll be there soon.]" she stated. I placed the convict in the interrogation room. Throwing him into the chair and locking him up. he looked terrified.

Taina walked in soon after, "This the person I am interrogating?" she asked, I nodded, "Hehe, I'm going to have some fun." She said, I quickly left the room before meeting up with Six. "So how did you find him?" Six asked, Kaitlin answered by showing the video she took and the TV screen in the room.

I watched it too, it showed me entering the Bathroom, some time later the recruit entered before pulling out a knife, Saying how he's going to kill me and get those augmentations from Shadow. That's when the Armour activated itself and attacked the Recruit whilst he was trying to unlock the bathroom door. Restraining him after bashing him against the wall.

"Who was the one who took the video?" Six asked, Kaitlin showed herself, "It was me Ma'am, I'm Kaitlin, Pleasure to meet you." She answered. Six looked a little shocked but soon replaced the shock with a smile, "So this was your project Megan? I am pretty proud of you for doing this. How long have you been operational?" Six asked Kaitlin, "I have been operational for 1 month, 3 days, 13 hours and 23 seconds." She answered, before disappearing into the Armour again.

(Time Skip)

We have a location of Shadows Base of Operation. We can hit it now and eliminate them. We can go in and kill them one by one or send Sentinel to eliminate them. Or just straight up nuke them as they are in their own Island. But the base underground won't be affected by the nuke unfortunately. But they do have a reactor down there that will level the complex if overloaded.

"So who's going to the island?" six asked, "Me, Shannon, Elena, Andrew, Charlie and Sentinel." I answered. she nodded. "[Can we have Anubis, Reaper, Arch-Demon, Arch-Angel and Sentinel Strike force 1-4 report to briefing.]" I said through the intercom, "You joining us?" I asked six, "Yeah I'll join the briefing." She answered.
