🍂Chapter Ten🍂
Please let me know if I ever represent anything wrong, wether it is cultural, trans/gender related (even though I'm trans), or whatever else. Accurate representation is the most important thing ever to me and I want to represent people right.

Roman was so giddy he couldn't sit down. He had been awake since four in the morning on a Saturday even though his friends were supposed to arrive at eleven thirty. It's eleven o'clock sharp right now and Roman was stress eating out of pure excitement. His father calls it anxious, but it's a good anxious. Not a bad anxious or anxiety that Virgil had told Roman they had. Speaking of which he had made sure that the windows were closed at a way that allows light in the room but made sure Virgil wouldn't feel like the neighbors were watching and judging them.
So Roman was munching on this apple, singing some song in his head that's probably from either Hadestown or Mean Girls (two totally different musicals that have NO correlation), when the doorbell finally rang. Roman jumped up from his seat and rushed to the door, throwing it open to reveal that it was the one of the group Roman hasn't particularly talked to as much with some sort of bread? Of some sort in his arms. It's Logan! Virgil's boyfriend! Hooraaaaaaaaaay!
"Salutations, Roman, and Forgive my preliminary arrival. I had misjudged the traffic over the railroad and accounted for unneeded time upon my departure from home. May I come in? I've brought a homemade pound cake."
Pound cake? Roman had never heard of it. It looks a lot like bread.
"Come in! ¡Bienvienido nuestra casa! Uh, welcome to our home!"
Logan chuckled at Roman's slip of the tongue, walking inside and placing the bread cake on the counter neatly next to the snack tray that Roman and Papà have prepared in much advance. Logan then took a look around at the decór. Did it not look good? Roman was kind of nervous due to his silence. He glanced at the clock. Eleven eleven make a wish. Is Logan going to sit down? Where did he want to go? What did he want to do? Roman noticed that Logan's gaze fell onto the acoustic guitar that's belonged to Papá that they were going to use.
"You play guitar? I suppose that is what Patton was been going on and on about, creating a music video. If you won't mind, the editing can be left to me. Virgil is excellent at makeup and interior design for a background. Neither of us are too keen of being on camera."
"Oh of course! The last thing I want is for anyone to be uncomfortable! You can do whatever you wish! You are our guest!"
"Our?"
As if on cue, Papá walked out of his bedroom from changing into some more 'presentable' clothes for the fourth time in the past half hour. He saw Logan and instantly he had a wide smile on his face, rushing up to the rather stoic teenager and shaking his hand. Roman looked away with some shame. Jeez his dad is embarrassing. This is new. He's never been embarassed by his dad's eager behavior before. Maybe it's because he didn't really have friends he needed to make a good impression before.
"Ah! ¡Bienvenido Chico! Welcome to our home! My name is Tómas, Roman's father! It's a pleasure to meet you! It's so wonderful to see my son make such wonderful friends! I was worried about him coming here but it seems I had no need to worry!"
The doorbell rang and his father half-ran to it to go greet whomever was on the other side. Roman sighed. He wanted to apologize to Logan, but he wasn't sure if that was proper or not. Logan had a small smile rest on his lips as he watched the door. Papá ushered the two highschoolers in: both Virgil and Patton. Virgil was kind of standing there awkwardly while Patton was happily chatting with Papá. Virgil made eye contact with Roman and gave him a shy wave before making eye contact with Logan. It's like they could have an entire conversation wwith just looks. Then the pair came over and met with the rest of the squad. Virgil clung to Logan's arm, being a cynical little goof.
