The next day Haggar came for Lance again. The Druids had to literally rip the Blue Paladin from Keith's arms. Which took several Druids almost an hour and a half. They repeated the process the next day, and the next.

Lance would never come back with cuts, just bruises that were all nasty shades of black and blue. Keith would do his best to help with them. Though the Blue Paladin would just try to shove him away insisting he was fine.

Haggar was pleased to say the least at Keith's reaction. The Red Paladin's fear as he tried to help the Blue, but unable to do anything. To break not only the heart, but the passion of Voltron, in one go, was a feeling she'd relished in.

It was after the fourth day that she changed things.

Everyone of Lance's screams was music, and after he'd lost his voice, his tears looked like diamonds to her. She loved how he'd flinch at the sound of her voice. The terror her name brought. It made her feel like a child being praised for good grades or a minor talent.

The only thing that felt better was the look of complete disappear on the Red Paladin's face when she brought the broken boy back, bleeding and weeping silently.

The half breed reached for his friend, but before he could even touch him, the Paladin flinched away.

"He will never be the same," Haggar smiled.
"What did you do to Lance!" Keith growled, baring his teeth.
"I broke him. I broke Voltron," she answered smugly.
Keith screamed lunging at her throat. The guards holding him back.

Keith screamed and thrashed, words not being enough to display his rage.
"Down Paladin, your punishment will be his pain," Haggar warned.
Keith went stiff and stopped fighting. He backed away, glaring at the witch. Keith sat down next to Lance as the witch left.

"I'm sorry, Lance," he whispered, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have let her touch you."
Keith pulled Lance to his chest, running his fingers through his light brown hair.

Lance grabbed Keith's hand giving him a warm smile.
"You okay?"
Lance shrugged.
"We should probably clean those up," Keith said, gesturing to the gashes on Lance's body.
Lance nodded sadly.

"Why aren't you talking?"
Lance frowned at the ground.
"Lance?"
The Cuban looked up at Keith, tears pooling in his eyes. He pointed to his throat and shook his head.
"I get you can't talk Lance but why?"
Lance looked at the door and snuggled closer to Keith.

"I'm gonna kill that bitch!" The Red Paladin growled.
Lance grabbed his shirt shaking his head violently no.
"Okay okay! I won't kill her!" Keith said worrying he would get whiplash.
Lance relaxed and cuddled up to Keith again.

"You are being super cuddly," the Red Paladin muttered running a hand threw Lance's hair.
Lance tensed a bit, as if he was scared he'd done something wrong.
"It's not bad," Keith added, lightly blushing, "You just... usually aren't this... touchy with me..."
Lance relaxed again closing his eyes.

The brunette sat up suddenly. He tapped his throat and opened his mouth, kinda looking like he was talking.
"You want me to talk?"
Lance shook his head no. He imitated, what to Keith, looked like an opera singer.
"Y-you want m-me to sing?"
Lance smiled and nodded, cuddling into Keith's chest again with his knees to his chin so he was completely sitting in Keith's lap.

"Any requests?"
Lance gave him a look like "Really dumdass?"
"Right, sorry!"
If Keith could have, he would have left and started banging his head on the wall yelling, "Stupid!"

Keith tried to think of a slow song the Lance would probably like. He figured him and Shiro would have similar taste. And thanks to his dear brother he knew a crap load of Niki Minaj and Vines.

Keith internally groaned at the phase Shiro had yet to completely grow out of. If they got out of this alive the fist thing he was gonna do with Shiro is chuck an empty Coke can, and yell yeet at the top of his lungs. Or jump in a trash can and yell, "Fuck this shit I'm out!" Probably that one.

Keith smiled at the thots, and started humming, because  he didn't know the words, "Hips don't Lie" softly then "Senorita" till Lance fell asleep. Then he checked and wrapped up his wounds. Keith didn't dare fall asleep incase Haggar came and took the Blue Paladin again.

Unknown to him, the witch watch from the guards, smiling at the whole exchange between the Paladins.
