Days passed, Haggar didn't come for Lance again, nor did his voice come back. Keith was starting worry about that. How can you have Lance McClain without his voice?

Simple. You can't.

The silence and one sided conversations, edged on by charades, were uncomfortable, and got on Keith's socially awkward nerves.

That and Lance's new little habit of randomly starting to cuddle Keith without warning. It was especially bad the first few times which happened when Keith was asleep and thought something was wrong. His reaction? Hide Lance and hiss like a cat. Which Lance had reasonably found hilarious! Though he legit couldn't laugh about it.

Before the boys knew it their week was up. Much like the first time Keith was taken to fight. Lance was forced to sit next to Haggar and watch.

Keith growled up at the stands seeing Lance's discomfort at being so close to the witch. His guards had actually tied him to the chair to keep him there. Lance looked down at Keith, even though they were too far away to properly see each other, the message was clear.

Get me the FUCK out of here!

Keith gritted his teeth and readied to face his new opponent. A large built Galra male stepped out into the Arena. He was easily twice Shiro's size made of pure mussel.

Lance whimpered up in the stands. Praying that Keith would be alright. He closed his eyes mouthing prayers in Spanish. His guards lifted his head forcing him to watch the match.

Keith hadn't waited for the announcer to tell him when to start. He charged at the mountain of a Galra picking up a sword from one of the Arena's victims.

The Galra swiped at his head. Keith side stepped, sword leaving a bloody trail up his opponent's side.

The Galra screamed in pain stumbling forward. Keith smirked tauntingly at him. The Galra charged and attacked with a large scythe. Keith dodged, slashing at the Galra's stomach.

The soldier fell to his knees covering the wound. Keith took the chance to add on another slash to his back. The Galra's scythe swung around again, barely missing taking off his head, nicking Keith's face.

Keith jumped back, chancing a glance at Lance. The Blue Paladin, still sat as far as possible from Haggar, but was watching the match with interest, or fear, it was hard to tell from that distance. Keith smiled at Lance, freezing for a second hearing a battle cry behind him.

Keith rolled out of the scythe's path leaping to his feet and lunging for an attack as the Galra pulled his weapon out of the ground. Keith's sword cut clean through the Galra's cheek, severing a major artery.

The Galra screamed out in pain jumping back, leaving his scythe. He stumbled before falling to his knees, the blood loss making him dizzy. Keith put his blade under the Galra's chin.

He glanced up at Haggar and Lance. The witch nodded to him. Keith closed his eyes and let the head roll onto the ground.

The crowd shouted down at him. Whether it was cheers or boos Keith didn't know, nor did he care. He stood there watching Lance's guards untie him and pull the other out of Keith's view.

The Paladin glared at Haggar as she followed, getting a bad feeling about it. Keith's own guards took his sword and guided him back to his cell.

Then Keith waited for Lance. He didn't touch the food they gave him. He didn't sleep either. The Paladin pushed himself to the very edge waiting for Lance. All that was left was one final push...
