one

after one year

"jisoo! something has happened to your grandmother. come fast" sohyun exclaims, placing her one hand on jisoo's shoulder and the other on her chest to calm down from running.

"why? what happened?" jisoo creases her eyebrows in confusion. "sh— she fainted. joohyuk took her to the local hospital right now. w—we need to go and where is your phone? we called you for like twenty times!"

jisoo places her basket filled with apples on the ground quickly, taking off her gloves and the hat. "i—it's right he—" she shoves her hand inside her pants pocket but couldn't find anything.

"ah, we don't have time for this! let's go fast" sohyun held jisoo's hand and started running half a kilometer to the hospital.

"what took you so long? halmeoni woke up like twenty minutes ago." joohyuk says pointing towards the left end of the room where halmeoni was reading. "ah! halmeoni, sohyun said you passed out. why? did something happen? did you fall? are you hurt right now?" jisoo ran over to the elder examining her hands and legs.

"nothing happened dear, i just felt dizzy and i passed out but i'm all good now! no worries child." she said smiling, placing her book on her lap. "bu—" "no buts.  now if you rebellions would leave and let me read my book, it would be very appreciated." we all nod, leaving her in the ward.

"ah, i was so worried" sohyun says, leaning her back on the wall and sliding down to the ground. "me too" joohyuk says looking over at jisoo "where were you jisoo? we actually came over to your place but you weren't there." "yeah but i'm glad we did come over otherwise god knows what would happen to halmeoni" sohyun butts in only to have joohyuk nod in agreement.

"i have to work and earn unlike you two idiots." jisoo says, faking a scowl. "you just sounded like old man sangmin." sohyun says bursting out in laughter mimicking what jisoo had just said. "ah stop it now, don't compare me to that mean old man" jisoo crosses her arms, leaning back on the wall beside sohyun.

"anyways, speaking of work, i should go and help my uncle it's already 12. bye guys!" joohyuk says waving at them. "bye" sohyun and i both say in a unison. "you can should go too sohyun. be more active and help your moms bakery." jisoo pats sohyuns head. "fine, if you don't want me then i'll go. goodbye my love" sohyun says dramatically waving.

jisoo laughs waving back at her. once she was left by herself, she head back inside the ward to where her grandmother was. "halmeoni?" jisoo opened the curtains to see her grandmother fallen on the floor breathing heavily.

"oh my god, what happened? i'll go call the doctor, just wait" jisoo stands up running to the small reception. "call the doctor fast! it's an emergency" "what happened?" "my grandmother! she fell from her bed and she is breathing irregularly" "please lead the way"

jisoo runs to the room where her grandmother is. her grandmother was still on the floor but no one could hear anything. the nurse ran towards her grandmother checking her pulse. the nurse took out her phone from her pocket calling the doctor.

the doctor soon came and took jisoo's grandmother to the emergency room. "miss, please stay here. don't worry, we'll try our best." the doctor patted her shoulder and jogged inside the dreaded room.
