sixteen

jisoo heaves out a sigh, staring at the crystal blue lake. her hand reaches down to feel the freezing water. "what am i going to do halmeoni? i feel lost." jisoo mutters. her hands still in the water.

"should i— should i take the offer? no right?" jisoo frowns. "i shouldn't. i have my home here. i have everyone i love here. i cant simply leave them for just a mere model thing." jisoo says convincing herself than talking to her grandmother.

"i don't know. i don't know!" jisoo let's out an exasperated groan, splashing the water with her hand. "what don't you know?" a voice comes from the back. jisoo feels the person sitting beside her.

she looks up at the owner of the voice. "joohyuk don't you have work today? sohyun said that you were busy." he shakes his head. "my uncle said i can take a rest. i heard jimin came back." joohyuk stares at the vast lake. "with his friends." jisoo adds.

"i heard he broke his promise also." jisoo snaps her head toward joohyuk with wide eyes. his jaw was clenched. "that bastard. seoul really changed him huh?" joohyuk let's out a sinister chuckle. "it was just small mere promise for god's sake! it's not a big deal!" jisoo groans getting tired of everyone complaining.

"if anyone is angry, i should be the one. and i am not. so you can stop too. this is my business if anything." jisoo aggressively runs her fingers through her hair. joohyuk nods. "okay then. but if he does anything that makes you cry. i will not hold back to punch him." joohyuk warns.

jisoo laughs patting his head. "yes sir." she coos. "ah come on! don't act like i am a baby!" joohyuk whines pouting. jisoo laughs harder. "i've missed that." joohyuk smiles genuinely. "huh?" jisoo's laughter dies down. "your laugh. i've missed that." joohyuk smiles, his crinkling into two slits.

"well i've missed laughing too i guess. it feels refreshing." jisoo sighs in content. she stares at the lake. "wanna swim?" joohyuk raises his brow. "are you crazy?" jisoo says. "is that a yes?" joohyuk grins. "no! of course no! hell no! it's winter!" jisoo shouts, slapping joohyuks arm.

"it was worth the try." joohyuk mumbles. "let's head back." joohyuk says. "you can go. i'll stay here." jisoo says, waving her hands off. "you sure?" jisoo hums as a reply. "okay bye then." joohyuk says, leaving.

jisoo stands up, following the big stony path that led to the ocean. after thirty minutes of continuously walking, she could finally hear the ocean waves hitting the stones. she breathes in the fresh air.

jisoo sits down on one of the huge rocks whilst staring at the vast ocean. she simply stares with nothing running through her mind. tranquil. that's what she felt. she closed her eyes, laying down on the rock, listening to the ocean.

she soon let's sleep consume her.
