POV: Omar(Aquarius I)
John was standing idle with darkened eyes that glowed red facing us. I
tried to understand what was happening but everyone looked as
puzzled as I did. John continued to hold his aim upon us. He was currently aiming at Ayinde but had yet to draw back fully. Ayinde then
peered over at me intensly saying "She would we try talking to him?" I
nodded then shook my head vigorously noticing John beginning to draw back. I turned to Corpion and asked him to try and slow time but
only for John. I stared at Corpion and noticed he too was standing idle.
His hands were at his side and he did not answer. Ayinde decided to
act and his eyes began to glow a deep blue color; he called upon the
Breath of Fire. He held out his hands fingers flexed and summoned air
to surround John. The air currents grew igniting and began to swirl
around him until a violent vortex of angered blazing wind spun around
John. His aim did not waiver and he released the flaming black arrow!
The arrow flew straight and pierced through Ayinde's currents of air
taking with it his flaming winds. The arrow also burst with more force
as it transferred the gust of wind into fuel. I tried to slow the arrow with my own currents but it did not help. I tried to summon a wall of
water between him and John and the arrow pierced through that as
well but the flames did not survive. This was not good enough as
Ayinde was pierced through the shoulder and taken off his feet. I
turned to Corpion and noticed him now struggling as if fighting inside
his own head. Ayinde landed abruptly on the ground bleeding and unconscious. I decided I would have to tame Death's Arrow alone.
John's eyes became bright red with the red pyramid inside one eye and
his house symbol in the other. An aura formed around his body, it was
dark red with a shadowy black tint infused into it. Flames began to line
the walls and the very color of the air became nearly red. I looked again
at Corpion but he was still grasping his head in pain, eyes vacant and
body still. John drew back another arrow and aimed at Corpion. The
arrow merely appeared forming from black shrouds and igniting as soon as he drew. I would have to think of something fast or we would all be finished!POV: Corpion
It was dark and I wondered where the others were. I could not see anything
through the darkness. Then a voice said to me "Time's up!" I turned around but saw nothing. I looked all around me until the voice spoke again "Remember". I was suddenly hit with images of my past, one of my childhood where I was crying wishing for a friend and another when my cry was heard by the doppelganger snake which was now my alter ego. "I remember!" I said aloud. Appearing quickly in front of me was an identical copy of myself with bright yellow eyes similar to my own except for the rim of my eyes being
golden whereas his were black. I attempted to say something but the other me just began to disappear. "You will no longer posses the will of fire nor any other ablity I have given you." Snake said. I began to ask why but it just
dissipated into the darkness. My head began to hurt and the darkness began
to recede only to reveal a scene I didn't have time to understand. Why was John aiming at me! Why was Ayinde unconscious and injured and what could I do now? John launched his arrow and a wave of energy followed behind it. There was so much energy that John's hair blew backward like he. had just witnessed a nuclear blast. I encased myself in water hoping this armor would hold when I heard Omar scream "That won't work, you have to
actually stop it!" Quickly I dropped the armor, water falling to the floor at my feet and concentrated on the arrow. I closed my eyes and heard and felt nothing except my own breath. I didn't feel pain so I wasn't hit. I opened my eyes to see Omar mid scream, frozen as were John and Ayinde. The arrow was fixed on my left eye less than an inch from my face! I stepped aside and noticed that John was beginning to move but very slowly. "How the hell are you still moving!" I yelled at him. I had stopped time but I needed to still do
something about John. I ran over to him and placed my hands on his head
and tried to reverse his mind to the point before he was not himself. I had no power over the mind but perhaps I could do something about the current
state of his mind. But as I did I saw horrible images of destruction and still I continued to try and reverse it all back to before we were trapped in this nightmare of a place. I had tried countless times to travel back in time but it had never worked. Maybe that was a rule for me but not another. I continued to concentrate and John looked at me and I watched his eyes return to their normal color like that of the ocean. He then froze like Ayinde and Omar. I stepped back and wondered how to resume time but I couldn't seem to figure it out. I looked around and noticed the inside of the pyramid was simliar to that of my own house pyramid. My eyes began to glow with golden light and I looked again but could not see the ceiling, However, I could see the walls which were covered in glyphs that glowed in response, what was weird is they glowed with a greenish tint, no blue? I didn't understand what they said but some of them seem to speak without using words and then I couldn't see anything. I heard Ayinde say "What did you do?" I looked at him and laughed nervously. "I stopped time!" I said. I turned again to the glyphs
now silent and not glowing. He winced in pain saying "That's nice now how about pulling this thing outta me!" I walked over to him and attempted to pull it out but just as I placed my hand on it the pyramid walls began to illuminate with a red light safe for the few that were that wierd blue and green mix of a
color. I looked over at Omar and considered unfreezing him. I reached my hand toward Omar releasing him from being frozen. He stared looking at me quite lost. "Could have unfroze me sooner" he said. "I was contemplating-" I started to say when Ayinde looked at me saying "Both of you shut up and fix this!" We both laughed nervously as Omar grabbed the back of the arrow and I took hold of the center portion. We pulled and it came out with relative ease as did much his blood. He began bleeding but not for long as both of us placed a hand on the wound trying to heal the damage dealt. He sat up a bit pale in color and asked where John was. We all looked over at John and realized he was standing still peering around at the pyramid walls. He only said "So that's how your coming! This pyramid is just a big bloody deathtrap. So much for tenant privelidges. I think we should leave." I looked at them all
and said "Well let's start walking." Ayinde asked which way but I just pointed toward the center of the space we were in. The odd colored illumination seemed to be coming from that direction. We started walking but the path just seemed endless. John led the way, a fireball in his hand to further illuminate our way. "Hopefully this leads somewhere and not nowhere" I said as we continued on. They all nodded as Ayinde tried to reach the Hog. With
no answer Ayinde said "Guys were on our own". We all stopped and looked
back the way we came and saw nothing but darkness. I then watched as Ayinde dropped to his knees. "Hey man! Are you okay?" John asked. I
watched as he placed one hand on the wall nearest him and the glyphs glowed that weird mix of blue and green again. He then looked up away from us and I soon found myself wondering had the arrow John used had some sort of poison. "Don't panic" John said "lets just get him walking again." I said in a quiet voice. I hoped he'd recieved a vision of some sort and nothing else because we'd definitely be lost without him.
