Chapter 1: "Ancient Origins & Hope of the Future"

POV: The House(Gemini 0)

I am alive so to speak, I sense and age just not as human beings do. I do not know my origin only my purpose. Some couple millennia before now I was created, no I was born as a home to the twins of the Gemini sign.There are an innumerable... a mountainous amount of pieces... so much so that one cannot count the gigantic puzzle-like structures that continues to give birth to an everlasting, ever expanding universal shift in the damn paradigm! The Orion Nebula is the new..edge of the universe that is unbound by the measurable scales that we weigh ourselves upon; Time has no reign here! However, on this edge of the universe I have several names including H.O.G.(House of Gemini) and H.O.T.T.(House of the Twins), but you may call me Gemini Zero(Gem0). I house far more than the current residing twins however, include many various tools that they can wield such as the urn. It houses creations of previous twin selections as well as their abilities and likeness. Everything remains the same as each cycle of twins is born and either transferred and or killed/erased from existence. Only the abilities and past former consciousness continue to manifest in future candidates where as the last before the current are the only likeness the twins of the current generation may interact with. They cannot make contact with other twins' past likeness for it would mean the end of the current cycling of twin generations spanning a new volatile and unpredictable cycle, one that will not renew; i.e. ceasing to be a cycle and become The End or the Universal Apocalypse! The current way of things(cycle)is in place to keep the twins humble as well as hopeful upon discovering me and their expansive origins. Of House Gemini the last two twins were Air and Purity, male and female as all before them. Gender is only relative to attitude and directional drive. One is the flow while the other remains as it's connection to all that encompasses anything that encounters said flow. Air with Purity is serenity,without; almost chaotic but still purposeful somewhat like what humans call nature. But with like any duality they must both conquer and maintain one another or be destroyed by each other's former selves' inner struggles.

A millennia ago Air convinced many other contestants from all other houses to question their roles and begat ill informed chaotic war as without each twin the other became lost, or damned if you will to kill the other and then await The End. Purity is the only twin in known current recorded history to not only best her twin but relinquish her claim of victory upon Air and bond eternally with another twin of another house. In doing so she has trapped both Air and herself within the Urn seemingly sealing the line of House Gemini, yet I remained. This could only mean that Purity also gave up her will to wage war against her twin, split in half between one house and another. Until this changes she maintains her drive to humble Air. Her success both goes unnoticed and undefined as four millennia has passed and many houses have begun to decay without purpose, headed toward a new cycle while others remain lost in time,space and memory. The war has ended yet no house is now in communication with their tenants or each other and this simply means that the latest generation is unaware of the other's existence as contestants of the 12 houses must stand and fuse into something greater, thus is the cycle of old transferred into one anew. There remains the echo of a new house, either it is so much older than I that I cannot remember it or it is newly born and has yet to take full form and or it has always been and is tethered to the very existence of our infinite creator, masking itself until... it's purpose is revealed. All that I can tell you now is that to my knowledge I now house the only two twins that have embraced and begun to understand what it is they are; hope. If Kathleen cannot defeat Air now then Ayinde will be lost forever and be bent to the will of Air's corrupted shadow and the full potential of a past Gemini. Without him Kat will weaken until she is no more. Purity's sacrifice will be in vain, I will fall apart as I complete my cycle prematurely ceasing to be and all other twins will become fully human and die alone with no answer as to why. I have never experienced this in all my existence but there is another "force" that lives and it cannot be allowed to reign. It is only referred to as THE END.
