Jisung's POV

"What just happened?" I ask the other boys. We were outside, doing some training exercises like usual when Felix went inside to get some water from the kitchen. He runs back out a few minutes later, trying to get our attention. Before he could say anything, the girl comes running out of the house behind him. Felix instantly goes up to her and takes her back inside. I know all of that. I guess I'm just in shock.

"It looks like our guest has finally woken up," Changbin says with a little bit of happiness in his voice. All of us have been getting impatient. We were starting to think that she would never wake up.

We are silent for a few more moments, at least we were until Chan spoke up. "Alright, let's get back to work." Why can't we take a break?! We never do anything but train and train and train!

Felix comes back out of the house, and I go up to him. "Felix! What happened? Did you ask her where she's from? Did you ask what happened to her? Did you ask . . ." That's where he cuts me off.

"Calm down, Jisung. I only asked for her name. She's seemed exhausted, so I'm letting her rest." I couldn't help but be even more curious.

"What is her name?"

"It's Jia."

Jia's POV

I was scared to go to sleep, but I was exhausted. Within about a minute of having my head on the pillow, I was passed out.

It was a dreamless sleep. I didn't know how long I would be out for. It could be another week or a few hours.

I'm more scared of waking up. What if those boys want to hurt me too. The boy that brought me here, Felix, seemed nice, but I still don't know if I can trust him. It's the same with the others. I haven't talked to them at all, and I have no clue how they will treat me.

I hear someone come through the door, and I slowly start to open my eyes. It's Felix again. Why is he so sweaty? It sounds like he's out of breath.

"Oh, you're awake. I hope you feel better after your nap." He has a big smile on his face. It's almost as if he couldn't wait to talk to me again. It's kind of cute.

"I feel much better. How long was I out this time?" Please don't say a week. Please don't say a week.

"Only a few hours." I let out a sigh of relief. "It's almost time for dinner. Do you want to join us?" He asks with a kind tone. I keep trying to tell myself that I shouldn't trust him, but he is making it complicated.

"Um, Felix, is it okay if I have dinner in here?" I don't think I'm ready to meet the other boys. What if they aren't as kind as Felix is. I want to take my time and adjust to this whole situation.

"Are you sure, Jia? Some of the boys want to meet you." Now he seems confused but concerned at the same time.

"I don't think I'm ready yet. But maybe I can meet the boys tomorrow?" I try to say it with a small smile, but I think it was more pitiful than anything.

"Okay, I'll go get your dinner." And with that, he left the room. I hope I didn't make him upset. He looked a bit disappointed when he left. We just formally met today, but I already feel like we're friends. Is that weird? It just feels like I can trust him. Although, I'm still going to keep my guard up, just not as much as before.

Thirty Minute Time Skip

No one's POV

A/N: This next part is going to be mostly dialogue. It will be back and forth between Felix and Jia. I figured it would save you guys from an extremely long chapter.

"Jia, I have your dinner. I brought mine as well. I hope you don't mind if I eat with you."

"I don't mind."

"Great! Now we can get to know each other." Felix says as he sits down next to Jia and hands her the food.

"Oh, um, sure. First question. How many boys live here?"

"Eight, including me. There aren't any girls. Well, except for you. So, how old are you?"

"I'm nineteen, but I'll be twenty in November."

"I'm nineteen too, only I was born in September. I just had my birthday."

"Are all of you nineteen?"

"No, not all of us. Jeongin, the youngest, is eighteen. Chan is twenty-two. Then Minho and Changbin are twenty, and the rest of us are nineteen."

"You guys seem too young to have your own pack."

"Well, we've been a pack for a little over two years. All of us either had problems with our old packs, or we wanted to start our own. Chan and I came from the same pack. We both wanted to get away and live by our own rules. We talked to our parents, and they knew of a place that we could stay."

"Was it this house?"

"Yep, it was. We moved here together and started to live out our dreams. Over a short period of time, the other six boys joined. Chan became our alpha, and Changbin became the beta. Chan asked me if I would be the beta, but I declined. Changbin was the first boy to join us, so he was chosen as beta instead. We goofed around a lot and lived off of the fun we had. We were all happy."

"Are you not happy anymore?"

"We are, believe me. But things have changed a lot."

"How?"

"Well, all of that training equipment outside wasn't used as much as it is now. We used to train every once and a while, but now we train every day. Chan wants us to be stronger. I don't know what changed him."

"I'm sorry Felix, I didn't realize you were working so hard. At least now I understand why you came in so sweaty and out of breath."

"It's not your fault that we have to work hard. It isn't all bad, though. It's nice to be strong and fast. Enough about my minor problems, how did you get beaten up so bad?"

A/N: This dialogue form will be continued in the next chapter.
